A piezoelectric sensor includes: a lower substrate; a plurality of sensing transistors that are disposed on the lower substrate; a lower electrode that is disposed to cover the plurality of sensing transistors; a piezoelectric material layer that is disposed on the lower electrode; and an upper electrode that is disposed on the piezoelectric material layer. The piezoelectric material layer has a first thickness in a plurality of first areas in which the plurality of sensing transistors are disposed and has a second thickness which is greater than the first thickness in a second area in which the plurality of sensing transistors are not disposed. Accordingly, it is possible to further accurately and finely detect various types of biometric information.

An ultrasonic sensor and a display device is disclosed where a piezoelectric material disposed in each pixel area of the ultrasonic sensor is formed to have various thicknesses, or an electrode driving the piezoelectric material disposed in each pixel area has various areas, thereby providing the ultrasonic sensor that generates ultrasonic waves in various frequency bands. Accordingly, it can expand the frequency band of the ultrasonic waves generated by the ultrasonic sensor to improve its sensing performance, and obtain information of various frequency bands to provide the ultrasonic sensor capable of both the fingerprint sensing and the proximity sensing.

A display panel and a display device. A driving voltage line disposed in an active area is disposed to overlap a reference voltage line. The aperture ratio of a display panel is improved, and the transparency of a transparent display device is improved. The width of the driving voltage line disposed in the display panel gradually decreases in a direction away from a driver circuit supplying a driving voltage. Differences in the variation of the driving voltage according to the areas of the display panel are reduced, thereby improving brightness uniformity of the display panel according to the areas of the display panel.

Display panel and display device

Provided are a display panel and a display device. After deposition of a thin-film transistor layer and a display layer in which emitting devices are disposed, a sensing layer including a piezoelectric material is disposed under the thin-film transistor layer to facilitate implementation of a display panel having built-in piezoelectric devices. Further, as thin-film transistors for ultrasonic sensing and thin-film transistors for display driving are disposed in different layers, a display panel capable of ultrasonic sensing in an active area may be provided without affecting a display resolution or implementation of display pixels.

A display device comprises a display panel and a sensor, wherein the sensor includes a first piezoelectric material layer, a second piezoelectric material layer disposed under the first piezoelectric material layer to overlap the first piezoelectric material layer, a first common electrode disposed on the first piezoelectric material layer; a first sensor pixel electrode disposed under the second piezoelectric material layer, and a first element layer disposed under the first sensor pixel electrode and connected with the first sensor pixel electrode.

According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, an ultrasonic sensor, an ultrasonic sensing device, a display device, and a biometric information sensing method are provided, in which a first transistor and a second transistor disposed in respective pixels adjacent to each other are driven by a same scan line, and the first transistor controlling the application of a high voltage and the second transistor controlling sensing are configured with different channel types; therefore, a driving interval for generating ultrasonic waves is separated in time from a sensing interval for sensing reflected ultrasonic waves. Accordingly, an interval for applying the high voltage is reduced; therefore, power consumption can be reduced, and the degradation of components constituting the ultrasonic sensor can be overcome or reduced. In addition, sensing can be performed in an area in which ultrasonic waves are generated; thus, sensing sensitivity can be improved.
