A communication procedure may be used for multiple access. A wireless device may be capable of simultaneously accessing a plurality of networks that are associated with a visited network. The visited network may or may not allow the wireless device to simultaneously access the plurality of networks, for example, based on a status of the visited network. Prior to a wireless device requesting access to a plurality of networks, a visited network may indicate whether the visited network supports, for the wireless device, simultaneous access to a plurality of networks.

Multiple access

A wireless device receives configuration parameters indicating a first transport block (TB) size threshold of a first random access (RA) type and indicating a second TB size threshold of a second RA type. The wireless device selects, for transmitting a data unit, an RA type among the first RA type and the second RA type. The RA type is selected based on a comparison among a size of the data unit, the first TB size threshold, and the second TB size threshold. A transport block with the data unit is transmitted using the RA procedure associated with the selected RA type.

Random access type selection for small data transmission

A method may include receiving, by a base station distributed unit from a wireless device not in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state an RRC request message for a small data transmission (SDT) procedure and uplink data associated with the SDT procedure. The method may also include sending, to a base station central unit, the RRC request message for the SDT procedure. The method may further include receiving, from the base station central unit, a message that includes radio link control (RLC) configuration parameters for the SDT procedure and a field indicating that the RLC configuration parameters are for the SDT procedure. The method may additionally include sending the uplink data to the base station central unit in accordance with the field.

Parameters for small data transmission procedure identified with field

A second access and mobility management function (AMF) may receive a first message having positioning capability information indicating that a location management component (LMC) supports one or more positioning types. The second AMF may receive, from a first AMF, a second message indicating a positioning type of a wireless device. The second AMF may determine the LMC based on the positioning type and the positioning capability information. The second AMF may send, to a base station associated with the LMC, a third message having an identifier of the LMC.

Location management

A wireless device receives, while in a radio resource control (RRC) connected state, via a first cell, one or more messages. The one or more messages comprise a conditional cell configuration of a second cell, an indication to allow the wireless device to apply the conditional cell configuration in an RRC inactive state, and a suspend configuration for the RRC inactive state. The wireless device transitions, based on the suspend configuration, to the RRC inactive state. The wireless device applies, in the RRC inactive state, the conditional cell configuration. The applying is based on determining to transition, via the second cell, to an RRC connected state, and the indication to allow the wireless device to apply the conditional cell configuration in the RRC inactive state.

A base station receives, from a network function, a message comprising a charging control for time service indicator, wherein the charging control for time service indicator is for a time resiliency service for a wireless device, the base station collects, based on the charging control for time service indicator, usage information associated with the time resiliency service for the wireless device. The base station sends, to a mobility management function, the usage information associated with the time resiliency service.

A wireless device comprises one or more processors and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to receive, from a base station, a first radio resource control (RRC) release message comprising a suspend configuration associated with one or more first bandwidth parts (BWPs). While the wireless device is in an RRC idle state or an RRC inactive state, the one or more processors, cause the wireless device to transmit, based on the suspend configuration. first data associated with a small data transmission (SDT) procedure. The one or more processors cause the wireless device to receive, from the base station, a second RRC release message comprising a subsequent configuration associated with one or more second BWPs, and receive, from the base station via the one or more second BWPs, based on the subsequent configuration, second data associated with the SDT procedure.

A wireless device receives, from a base station, a UE capability enquiry message and transmits a UE capability information message indicating a maximum number of candidate cells for ETA. The UE receives, from the base station, an RRC reconfiguration message comprising a LTM configuration comprising a first configuration for layer 1 measurement reporting, a second configuration of resource, for the layer 1 measurement reporting, and a configuration for a candidate cell. The UE transmits, to the base station and based on the first configuration and the second configuration, a layer 1 measurement report and receives, from the base station, a downlink control information indicating the candidate cell for ETA. The UE transmits via the candidate cell a random access preamble for ETA, receives a cell switch command, for LTM, indicating the configuration of the candidate cell and a TA value of the candidate cell, and applies the configuration of the candidate cell and transmits, based on the TA value and via the candidate cell, a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH).

Early timing advance acquisition

A communication procedure (e.g., a small data transmission (SDT) procedure) may be used for data transmission under certain scenarios. The communication procedure may facilitate transmission of small amounts of data, for example, even if a wireless device is in a non-connected state with respect to a network. Data transmission during the communication procedure may be based on a selected transmission type and the transmission type may be changed during the communication procedure.

Reselection of transmission configuration

A wireless device sends, to an access and mobility management function (AMF), a packet data unit (PDU) session establishment request comprising an indication for a multimedia priority service (MPS). The wireless device receives, from the AMF, an establishment indication of the PDU session.

Multimedia priority service

A wireless device receives, from a first base station, a RRC release message comprising a suspend configuration, wherein the suspend configuration comprises a configuration of a SDT procedure, and the configuration indicates a radio bearer configured for the SDT procedure. The wireless device suspends, based on the suspend configuration, one or more radio bearers comprising the radio bearer configured for the SDT procedure. Based on initiating the SDT procedure the wireless device resumes the radio bearer configured for the SDT procedure and transmits, to a second base station, a radio resource control (RRC) resume request message. The wireless device communicates with the second base station and during the SDT procedure, data associated with the SDT procedure, receives, from the second base station, a second RRC release message comprising a resume indication after completion of the SDT procedure, and initiates, based on the resume indication, an RRC resume procedure.

Small data transmission

A wireless device receives, from a base station, an RRC release message comprising a suspend configuration comprising a configuration for an SDT procedure indicating one or more radio bearers configured for the SDT procedure. The wireless device transitions to an RRC inactive state, receives, from the base station, a SIB comprising a timer value of a SDT timer for transitioning the wireless device to an RRC idle state, determines one or more conditions, for initiating the SDT procedure, being fulfilled, and transmits an RRC resume request message and starts the SDT timer.

Small data transmission timer

A method may include transmitting, by a wireless device to an access and mobility management function (AMF), a protocol data unit (PDU) session establishment request to establish a PDU session associated with an aerial service. The transmitting may be after an authentication and/or authorization procedure for the aerial service of the wireless device is confirmed. The PDU session establishment request may include a civil aviation authority (CAA) uncrewed aerial vehicle (UAV) identifier (ID). The method may also include receiving, by the wireless device from by the AMF, an indication of acceptance or rejection of the PDU session establishment request. The rejection or acceptance of the PDU session establishment request may be based on an indication of whether the aerial service of the wireless device has been authenticated and/or authorized by an uncrewed aerial system service supplier (USS).

A base station central unit sends, to a base station distributed unit, wireless device assistance information indicating a multi universal subscriber identity module (MUSIM) gap preference of the wireless device for a MUSIM gap of the wireless device. The base station central unit receives, from the base station distributed unit, a MUSIM configuration for the MUSIM gap of the wireless device.

A wireless device transmits a first signal, based on a first protocol stack, to establish a first connection with a first cell.
