An image sensor includes: a pixel outputting a pixel signal; a ramp voltage generation circuit suitable for generating a ramp voltage that changes at a first slope in a first section and generating the ramp voltage that changes at a second slope having a greater absolute value than the first slope in a second section following the first section; an operation amplifier suitable for comparing the pixel signal with the ramp voltage during the first section and the second section; and a counter circuit suitable for generating a digital code corresponding to the pixel signal in response to an output of the operation amplifier.

Image sensor and analog-to-digital converter

An integrated sensing device comprising a force sensor and fingerprint sensor disposed on different portions of a flexible circuit. The fingerprint sensor is disposed on a first side of a first portion of the flexible circuit and the force sensor is disposed on a second portion of the flexible circuit. The flexible circuit is configured such that the first portion is over the second portion. The fingerprint sensor includes fingerprint sensor electrodes disposed on the first side of the first portion. The force sensor comprises a compressible layer disposed between a second side of the first portion and a first side of the second portion, and one or more one force electrodes.

Integrated fingerprint and force sensor

An input device for capacitive sensing includes: a plurality of sensor electrodes, the plurality of sensor electrodes comprising a plurality of transmitter electrodes and a plurality of receiver electrodes, wherein the plurality of transmitter electrodes is configured to be driven by sensing signals and the plurality of receiver electrodes is configured to receive detected signals corresponding to respective sensing signals driven onto the plurality of transmitter electrodes; and a processing system, configured to: determine which receiver electrodes of the plurality of receiver electrodes are covered by an input biometric object; and scan the input biometric object to determine features of the input biometric object, wherein scanning the input biometric object comprises performing a differential measurement for one or more receiver electrodes with other receiver electrodes providing a reference, based on detected signals received on the one or more receiver electrodes and the other receiver electrodes, wherein the other receiver electrodes providing the reference are all receiver electrodes of the plurality of receiver electrodes that are determined as being covered by the input biometric object.

Adaptive reference for differential capacitive measurements

An input device for capacitive touch sensing includes: a plurality of sensor electrodes, the plurality of sensor electrodes comprising: a plurality of receiver electrodes, a plurality of transmitter electrodes, and a reference receiver electrode; and a processing system. The processing system is configured to: drive a first transmitter electrode of the plurality of transmitter electrodes with a transmitter signal, receive a resulting signal via a receiver electrode of the plurality of receiver electrode, the resulting signal comprising effects corresponding to the transmitter signal, receive a reference signal via the reference receiver electrode, and determine a modified resulting signal based on the resulting signal received via the receiver electrode and the reference signal received via the reference receiver electrode.

Differential readout for sensor array

A device for capacitive sensing includes: a plurality of sensor electrodes, the plurality of sensor electrodes comprising: a plurality of receiver electrodes and a plurality of transmitter electrodes, wherein a transmitter electrode of the plurality of transmitter electrodes comprises a first portion and a second portion with a separation between the first portion and the second portion; and a processing system, configured to: drive the first portion of the transmitter electrode with a transmitter signal, receive a resulting signal corresponding to the first portion of the transmitter electrode via a first receiver electrode of the plurality of receiver electrodes, receive a reference signal corresponding to the second portion of the transmitter electrode via a second receiver electrode of the plurality of receiver electrodes, and determine a modified resulting signal based on the resulting signal and the reference signal.
