A display apparatus includes a display panel configured to display an image. The display panel has a folding axis extending in a first direction. An optical film is disposed over the display panel. The optical film includes a circular polarizer including at least two-phase retarders and one polarizer. Slow axes of each of the at least two-phase retarders are located in the same quadrant of four quadrants of the optical film.

A display apparatus includes a display panel configured to display an image. The display panel has a folding axis extending in a first direction. An optical film is disposed over the display panel. A display apparatus includes: a display panel including a display device to generate a visible ray; an optical functional layer on a surface of the display panel where a visible ray is generated; a circuit on the display panel such that the circuit overlaps with at least an area of an edge of the display panel; and a reinforcement on a surface of the display panel that faces the optical functional layer, to abut the display panel without overlapping with the circuit.

A display device may include: a window disposed on the display panel, including: a window base including a light transmission portion and a light blocking portion; a light blocking layer disposed on the light blocking portion of the window base, the light blocking layer including a touch key pattern portion; a printed circuit board disposed on the light blocking layer; a touch key light source disposed on the printed circuit board; a first light blocking member disposed on the printed circuit board and the touch key light source, including: a first distal end between the touch key light source and the light transmission portion of the window base; and a second distal end between the touch key light source and an edge of the window base; and a second light blocking member disposed between the second distal end of the first light blocking member and the light blocking layer.

Display device

A display device includes a light source which emits a light and a display panel which displays an image using the light. The display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate spaced apart from the first substrate, a plurality of pixels disposed between the first and second substrates, and a light guide layer disposed between the first substrate and the pixels. The light guide layer includes light tunnels which receive the light from the light source and a refractive layer which covers the light tunnels.
