A field coil assembly of an electromagnetic clutch for a compressor and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein the field coil assembly includes a coil installed in a core and made by winding a wire W and a connector coupled thereto. The connector is provided with a terminal which is electrically connected to one end of the wire W. A protective coating is formed at a connecting portion between the terminal and the end of the wire W to prevent the connecting portion of the wire W and the terminal from being exposed to the outside. Accordingly, the connecting portion between the terminal and the coil is not exposed to moisture or air, thereby preventing electric short circuit from occurring by galvanic corrosion between the terminal and the coil.

The present invention relates to a compressor which secures a sufficient refrigerant inhaling passage so as to minimize a refrigerant inhaling resistance and also to increase lubricating action with respect to a thrust bearing supporting a swash plate, in a structure that refrigerant is inhaled to a cylinder bore through a hollow drive shaft, thereby improving the performance of the compressor.

The present invention relates to a refrigerating cycle of a dual-type air conditioning system for vehicles having a front and rear evaporators provided at the front and rear sides of the car, in which the installation space for a refrigerant discharging pipe installed in the refrigerant discharging sides respectively of the front and rear evaporators can be minimized, and also the arrangement of the refrigerant discharging pipe is improved to prevent the refrigerant from back-flowing, thereby enabling a smooth operation of the compressor and also improving the performance of the air conditioning system.

An easy method for manufacturing a swash plate and a variable capacity swash plate compressor adopting the swash plate are provided. The method for manufacturing a swash plate or a hub having a boss including a through hole includes: holding a swash plate or a hub at a maximum inclination angle with respect to an horizontal axis; calculating a diameter DH of the through hole using the relation DS<DH<(DS/cos &agr;)&plus;1.0 mm, where DS is the diameter in millimeters of a drive shaft to be mounted passing through the through hole, and &agr; is the maximum inclination angle of the swash plate; and forming the through hole to have the diameter calculated in through a single process on the swash plate or the hub in a maximum inclination angle position, resulting in the boss of the swash plate or the hub, the single process being carried out in a horizontal direction.
