Audio and video synchronization apparatus and method in wireless communication network

A method for transmitting stereoscopic images using a variety of transport protocols is provided. To this end, a stereoscopic image packet is defined that comprises a stereoscopic packet header and a stereoscopic video packet header. The defined stereoscopic packet header and stereoscopic video packet header are used to transmit metadata needed for transmission of stereoscopic images. By doing so, it is possible to ensure compatibility with a variety of transport protocols.

A video transmission method is provided, which includes receiving state information from at least one mobile terminal that intends to perform a video stream service through a wireless network, determining a size of an image by selecting a specified spatial layer bit stream on the basis of the state information of the mobile terminal from a plurality of spatial layer bit streams generated at different bit rates during encoding of the bit stream, selecting a specified time and an SNR layer bit stream by increasing or decreasing time of the image and a layer position of the SNR layer bit stream on the basis of network parameters included in the state information of the mobile terminal, and transmitting the bit stream generated by extracting the specified layer bit stream of the selected layer to the mobile terminal.

A method for variably controlling a bit rate of video data through end-to-end channel status sensing in a Wireless Broadband (WiBro) network is provided. The method includes classifying wireless channel statuses of a transmission side and a reception side into normal and abnormal statuses during video data transmission; variably controlling and determining an encoding bit rate of a transmission side's encoder according to the classification result; and comparing the determined encoding bit rate with a Down Link Modulation & Coding Selection Level (DL MCS Level) which is a parameter of the reception side, so as to vary a final encoding bit rate of the transmission side.

A method for performing video communication is provided. The method includes: creating and saving a bio key using a user's biological information before first and second terminals perform the video communication; establishing a session, wherein the first terminal requests voice communication with the second terminal; exchanging bio keys saved in the respective terminals and saving the same; starting a Secure Real-Time Transport Protocol (SRTP) session, wherein the first and second terminals create a session sharing key using the exchanged bio keys; creating a restored bio key by obtaining the biological information from data received by first and second terminals and performing a user certification by comparing the bio key with the restored bio key.

The present invention relates to a device and method that enable a security key to be shared using security key exchange between two terminals, and a system that supports the same. A Dynamic bandwidth allocation method using OLT (Optical Line Terminal) and ONU (Optical Network Unit) for use in GE-PON (Gigabit Ethernet Passive Optical Network) system is disclosed. The OLT's scheduler performs scheduling upon receiving multiple-queue request information contained in the REPORT message from the ONU, and transmits a combined scheduling result associated with one ONU using a GATE message. An ONU's scheduler performs scheduling upon receiving a bandwidth allocated by the OLT, and allocates a transfer bandwidth to its own queues.

MAC (Media Access Control) for an EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network system) defined in an IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) 802.3ah EFM (Ethernet in the First Mile) standard is implemented using general MAC based on an IEEE 802.3 standard. LLID (Logical Link ID) information is inserted at a predetermined position of a frame outside its preamble and the frame containing the LLID information is transferred to a higher layer so that general MAC can be used as MAC for the EPON system. A physical layer of the EPON system contains LLID information within a preamble and transfers the preamble containing the LLID information. An RS (Reconciliation Sublayer) configures a new Ethernet frame by inserting the LLID information at a predetermined position of the Ethernet frame outside the preamble. The RS transfers the new Ethernet frame to a higher data link layer of the EPON system. The data link layer transfers the new Ethernet frame containing the LLID information.

A passive optical network system is disclosed that simultaneously provides both broadcasting service and data service. The passive optical network (PON) amplifies the optical signals for the broadcasting service in an optical amplifier media of the local office by pumping optical signals generated from the central office and provides the optical signals for the broadcasting service to the subscriber terminals. Therefore, the present invention can simultaneously provide broadcasting service and data service for more subscribers without reducing the number of subscribers to the PON. Also, the present invention uses a plurality of optical sources for the data service and the broadcasting service and receives the optical signals generated from the optical sources by using a plurality of optical receivers in the subscriber terminals, and thus can provide a greater amount and variety of data services and broadcasting services.
