A code reading method and a radar system using a short-range millimeter wave (mmWave) radar are provided. The method includes transmitting a mmWave radar signal to a target object from a radar system and receiving a reflection wave signal reflected on the target object, extracting reflection signal strengths for a plurality of line codes constituting the target object from the reflection wave signal, compensating for the reflection signal strengths considering a difference in antenna gain between the plurality of line codes as per an antenna radiation pattern of the radar system, forming a radar image using the compensated reflection signal strengths, and reading a binary code from the radar image.

Method and apparatus for reading code using short-range millimeter wave (MMWAVE) radar

A built-in antenna device for an electronic device for communication is provided. The antenna device includes a substrate, an antenna radiator, and a transmission line. The substrate includes a grounding region and a non-grounding region. The antenna radiator is disposed in the non-grounding region of the substrate and fed from a feeding portion provided to the substrate. The transmission line branches from the antenna radiator and is disposed in vicinity of the grounding region to have a predetermined length and a predetermined width. The antenna device controls reactance by coupling the transmission line with the grounding region to allow the antenna radiator to operate in at least one desired band.

An antenna device includes: a feeding rod unit connected to a feeding unit, in which a radio signal is applied to be sent and received to the feeding unit; an end rod unit, disposed at the end of the antenna device, and spaced apart from the feeding rod unit; at least one intermediate rod unit, interposed between the feeding rod unit and the end rod unit; a first helical unit, interposed between the feeding rod unit and the at least one intermediate rod unit; and a second helical unit, interposed between the intermediate rod unit and the end rod unit.

Disclosed is a built-in antenna apparatus comprising a plurality of antenna blocks, and an electrical connection device for connecting adjacent antenna blocks, the electrical connection device selectively connecting the antenna blocks so as to form varieties of the antenna. This enables the antenna blocks to be easily and detachably arranged according to the external shape, available mounting space and antenna characteristics of the mobile communications terminal.
