A vertical semiconductor device includes odd and even cell blocks, and odd and even block pad structures. Each of the odd cell blocks includes first conductive line structures including conductive lines and insulation layers alternatively stacked in a first direction. Each of the even cell blocks includes second conductive line structures having substantially the same shape as the first conductive line structures. The odd block pad structure is connected to first edge portions of the first conductive line structures. The even block pad structure is connected to second edge portions, opposite the first edge portions, of the second conductive line structures. Each of the odd cell blocks and the even cell blocks has a first width in a third direction. Each of the odd and even block pad structures is formed on a region of a substrate having a second width greater than the first width in the third direction.

Vertical semiconductor devices

A flat panel display device includes: a first display unit, a second display unit, and a third display unit. The first display unit comprises a (1-1)-th surface facing a (1-2)-th surface, and is configured to display an image on the (1-1)-th surface and enable external light to transmit from the (1-2)-th surface to the (1-1)-th surface. The second display unit comprises a (2-1)-th surface facing a (2-2)-th surface, and is configured to display an image on the (2-1)-th surface and enable external light to transmit from the (2-2)-th surface to the (2-1)-th surface. The third display unit comprises a (3-1)-th surface facing a (3-2)-th surface, and is configured to display an image on the (3-1)-th surface. The third display unit is disposed between the first display unit and the second display unit.

Flat panel display device and method to control the same

A display device includes a light source unit generating light a display unit displaying an image using the light generated from the light source unit and a display part displaying a symbol, the display part disposed on the display unit, wherein the symbol is determined based on a type of the light source unit, a driving method of the light source unit or a luminance generated from the light source unit.

A backlight assembly includes a light guiding plate, a light source and a bottom receiving plate. The light source is disposed at a first side of the light guiding plate. The bottom receiving plate includes a bottom surface and a side wall to form a receiving space in which at least a portion of the light guiding plate is placed. The bottom surface is smaller than a lower surface of the light guiding plate and has a plurality of openings formed through the bottom surface. The side wall extends from the bottom surface.

Backlight assembly and display apparatus having the same

In a light guide plate and a backlight unit, a light guide plate includes a light incident surface, an opposite surface, a top surface, a bottom surface, and a plurality of optical path changing units. The optical path changing units are aligned on at least the bottom surface of the top surface and the bottom surface at a predetermined interval while protruding in parallel to a reference line perpendicular to the light incident surface. Accordingly, power consumption used to generate the light may be reduced.

A liquid crystal display including a backlight assembly, panel guides and a liquid crystal panel. The backlight assembly includes a light guide plate, optical sheets disposed on the light guide plate, a reflective sheet disposed under the light guide plate, light sources disposed along at least one of first sides of the light guide plate, light source covers which cover the light sources, respectively, guide members disposed along at least one of second sides of the light guide plate, and a packing sheet in which the light guide plate, the optical sheets, the reflective sheet, the light source covers, and the guide members are wrapped. The panel guides are disposed on the packing sheet and coupled to the guide members, respectively. The liquid crystal panel is placed on the panel guides. An extension direction of the first sides crosses an extension direction of the second sides.

A method of fabricating a bottom chassis is provided. The method of fabricating the bottom chassis includes, for example, forming a bottom chassis using a steel plate having a thickness in the range of 0.5 mm to 0.9 mm, the steel plate having a stack structure including an inner layer containing 0.001 to 0.1 weight percent (wt. %) carbon (C), 0.002 to 0.05 wt. % silicon (Si), 0.28 to 2.0 wt. % manganese (Mn), balance iron (Fe), and other impurities, an electro-galvanized layer formed on the inner layer, and a polymer chromium (Cr)-free contamination resistant layer formed on the electro-galvanized layer, and performing a burring process and a tapping process on the bottom chassis to form a burring part to receive a bolt for an engagement.

A backlight unit includes a mold frame, a metal core printed circuit board ('MCPCB') on which at least one light emitting diode ('LED') is mounted, a reflector, a light guide plate, and an optical sheet. The mold frame includes an MCPCB fixing portion, the MCPCB is directly and removably disposed on the MCPCB fixing portion, and a lower surface of the MCPCB is exposed to the outside of the mold frame. On the MCPCB, a reflector, a light guide plate, and an optical sheet are placed in the order named. The light guide plate has a light entering surface facing the LED.

A lamp socket includes a socket housing and a plurality of power supply members. The socket housing has a plurality of connecting holes extended in a vertical direction. The power supply members are disposed in the connecting holes, respectively, and each of the power supply members includes a plurality of lamp connecting parts and an inverter connecting part. The lamp connecting parts are protruded from an upper surface of the socket housing and include first and second portions facing each other. The inverter connecting part is integrally formed with the lamp connecting parts, and is protruded from a lower surface of the socket housing.

A liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel, a plurality of light sources disposed behind the liquid crystal display panel, and a cover which accommodates the light sources. The cover includes a first cover part parallel with the liquid crystal display panel and disposed behind the light sources, a second cover part bent upward from an end portion of the first cover part, and a third cover part bent upward from the first cover part which faces the light sources. An end portion of the light sources is disposed between the second cover part and the third cover part.

Liquid crystal display device

An integral optical plate includes a convex lens plate, a microlens sheet and an adhesion element. The convex lens plate includes a first light incident surface into which light is incident and a first light-exiting surface disposed opposite the first light incident surface and on which a convex tens pattern is formed. The microlens sheet is disposed on the first light-exiting surface, and includes a microlens pattern. The adhesion element is disposed between the convex lens plate and the microlens sheet to combine the convex lens plate with the microlens sheet. The convex tens pattern includes a plurality of convex in lenses having a stripe shape extending lengthwise along the convex lens plate.
