The apparatus for dynamic update of a software-based IPTV conditional access system includes: a server master key manager managing a master key and encrypting a conditional access code ID; a conditional access server manager generating and managing a server list, linking and storing an update policy with the conditional access server IDs included in the server list, and controlling execution of the conditional access server; and a conditional access code download server generating an ID map of set of conditional access codes by combining the plurality of conditional access codes and the plurality of conditional access code IDs that are encrypted, and transmitting the ID map of set of conditional access codes and the conditional access code to a receiver.

Apparatus and method for dynamic update of software-based IPTV conditional access system

Provided is a method and system for streaming multimedia data between hetero UPnP networks configured of a private network. The method comprises establishing a communication channel with a relay peer; establishing a virtual communication channel with a specific extensible home connector selected from a plurality of extensible home connectors connected with the relay peer; searching multimedia data to play from multimedia data in the specific extensible home connector which exists on the UPnP network through the virtual communication channel; establishing a communication environment through the UPnP internet gateway of the specific extensible home connector in case of demanding play of the searched multimedia data; and receiving multimedia data from the specific extensible home connector through the communication environment.

Method and system for serving multi-media data between hetero UPnP networks

A dynamic user interface (UI) system and method is provided for remote controlling of a legacy device, which is not compatible with a peer-to-peer (P2P) middleware, through a P2P network. The dynamic UI system of the present includes at least one legacy device, a proxy for registering and managing the at least one legacy device and supporting a dynamic remote control user interface using a multi legacy device control protocol, and an edge peer for downloading the dynamic remote control user interface from the proxy and requesting control of the at least one legacy device to the proxy.
