An apparatus for self-recording a reproduced signal of a CD player on a video tape without connecting an additional cable in a VCR/CDP complex system. The apparatus has a key input unit for generating various function key signals to drive a video cassette recorder and a compact disk player. A controller controls the video cassette recorder and the compact disk player so as to be driven in response to an input of the function key signals, and generates a video switching select signal and an audio switching select signal. A compact disk reproducing unit reproduces the compact disk under the control of the controller, and generates an audio signal and a video signal. A switching unit supplies the audio signal and the video signal reproduced from the compact disk reproducing unit to the video cassette recorder via the switching select signals of the controller, and the video cassette recorder records the audio signal and the video signal supplied by the switching unit on the video tape.

A sampling processor samples the difference between an input song signal from a microphone and reference song signal, a volume deference detector detects a voltage difference between these two signals, a rhythm difference detector detects the difference in rhythm between these two signals, and an adder sums the outputs of the volume difference detector and the rhythm difference detector, thereby producing a finally evaluated score. Accordingly, a more reliable and accurate evaluation can be performed for a user's singing, based on the difference between the microphone's input song signal and the reference song signal.

Disclosed is a multipage display apparatus which divides one screen into several sections so as to display a plurality of pages at the same time. The apparatus comprises a microprocessor, a teletext unit for outputting signals R, G and B in unit of one page, a first encoder for encoding the signals R, G and B and outputting a composite video signal in the normal mode, luminance and chrominance difference signal separators, a controller and a memory unit for reading and writing the converted digital luminance and chrominance difference signals, a second encoder for encoding information read out all at once from the memory and outputting a composite video signal of a multipage mode, a window signal generator for receiving a synchronizing signal from the synchronizing and sampling frequency separator and generating a window signal, and a switch unit in which the composite video signal of either a normal mode or a multipage mode is selected by the window signal. In the apparatus, a plurality of pages are displayed at once on one screen divided into several smaller sections, thereby improving the efficiency of information search.
