A method for manufacturing a core of a motor for washing machines. In the manufacturing method, a pair of core bands are formed by punching the electric steel plate so that both core bands are opposite to each other in orientation and the teeth of one core band alternate with the corresponding teeth of the other core band, the core band is wound to a designated height so as to form a ring-shaped core, and securing parts are welded to the inner cylindrical surface of the ring-shaped core so as to be connected to a washing tub by bolts. The manufacturing method of the present invention is simply accomplished, allows the electrical steel plate to be maximally utilized, and improves a degree of strength of the core.

Disclosed are a unit core and a method manufacturing the same. The unit core is opposite to the neighboring unit core on an electric steel plate in orientation, and its unit yoke has an elongated end extending from a central line connecting a center of a tooth to a center of a core formed by interconnecting a plurality of the unit cores, to be opposite to the elongated end of the unit yoke of the neighboring unit core in orientation. This arrangement of the unit cores on the electric steel plate reduces a size of a scrap remaining after the unit cores are punched from the electric steel plate, thereby reducing the production cost of the unit core.

A suction head of a vacuum cleaner with a power brush to dislodge and remove debris from an object to be cleaned is provided. The suction head includes a head case connected to a cleaner body via a connecting tube and having a suction hold on a lower surface thereof, a power brush positioned in the head externally protruding from the head case through the suction hole allowing contact with an object to be cleaned, a supporting unit fixed in the head case for supporting the power brush to allow rotary and linear movements thereof, a rotary operating unit positioned between the supporting unit and the power brush for rotating the power brush, and a linear operating unit installed between the supporting unit and power brush for moving the power brushing linearly. With such structure, the size of the suction head is reduced and cleaning performance is improved.

A motor having two degrees of free motion includes: a motor casing; a combined core of cylindrical shape having a plurality of inner teeth inside and a plurality of outer teeth outside and fixedly coupled inside the motor casing; a first coil winding wound on the inner teeth of the combined core; a second coil winding coil wound on the outer teeth of the combined core; a rotating armature having a permanent magnet inside inserted inside the combined core and rotated by an interaction of a magnetic flux formed by the first coil winding and the permanent magnet; a linear armature located at one side of the second coil winding undergoing a linear movement by the flux formed by the second coil winding; a driving shaft penetratingly coupled to the rotating armature and to the linear armature and undergoing rotating and linear movements therewith; and a spring urging the linear armature away from the combined core. The motor is not only able to generate a linear reciprocating driving force and a rotating force at the same time, but is also able to generated one force between the two selectively, whereby only one motor can be used for a system which needs the linear movement and the rotating movement, and the system is constructed in a simple way because no additional motion translation device is needed.
