In an example, a display device includes a rollable display including a display side and an opposite non-display side. The rollable display includes a conductive material with a pattern disposed on the non-display side. The device includes a housing configured to house the rollable display and configured to roll in and roll out the rollable display along a first direction, and a capacitive sensor including a transmitter and a receiver electrode disposed within the housing and configured to sense the pattern.

An electronic device described herein includes a touch screen for a touch sensitive display carried by a portable housing. The electronic device is configured to operate in a high detection threshold mode to determine whether an object is in contact with the touch sensitive display, and operate in a low detection threshold mode to determine whether the object is adjacent to the touch sensitive display, based on lack of detection of the object being in contact with the touch sensitive display. The electronic device is further configured to determine whether the object is in contact with a peripheral edge of the portable housing by determining whether the object is adjacent opposite sides of the touch sensitive display, based on detection of the object being adjacent to the touch sensitive display.

A data frame in a touch capacitive sensing circuit includes both mutual capacitance data and self capacitance data. The mutual capacitance data and self capacitance data of the frame are filtered to define mutual capacitance and self capacitance islands. Centroids of the mutual capacitance and self capacitance islands are calculated and then processed in a weighted mixing operation to produce a hybrid centroid that more accurately locates the coordinates of a detected touch/hover.

A touch screen controller includes input circuitry receiving touch data from the touch screen. Processing circuitry acquires touch data from the input circuitry in a self-capacitance sensing mode, locates a force island and locates a sense island. A length of the force island and a length of the sense island is calculated. If the length of the force island is greater than a threshold force length and if the length of the sense island is greater than a threshold sense length, then the product of the lengths is calculated, and if greater than a threshold size, designated a valid area. Touch data in the valid area is then acquired in mutual-capacitance sensing mode, and represents palm touch if a maximum strength value in the valid area is less than a maximum area threshold and if a minimum strength value in the valid area is greater than a minimum area threshold.

A capacitive touch matrix has first conductive row elements spaced apart from one another, and first row interconnection circuitry electrically connects the first conductive row elements. Second conductive row elements are spaced apart from one another, and second row interconnection circuitry electrically connects the second conductive row elements. First conductive column elements are positioned between two adjacent ones of the first conductive row elements, the first conductive column elements being spaced apart from one another. A system and method for multi-touch integrity sensing for a multi-touch capacitive touch screen determines a distinction between wanted touches, such as via a finger or stylus, and unwanted touches such as via foreign matter, errors, and the like. Mutual capacitance and self-capacitance sensing data is collected and processed to identify reference strengths and detection thresholds. If differences between mutual/self-capacitance strength and the corresponding reference strengths exceed the corresponding detection thresholds, then the touch is classified as an unwanted (for example, water) touch.

A method for setting a filter coefficient for a communication system, which adjusts a frequency bandwidth by setting a filter coefficient of a wireless communication system over a communication network, is provided. In the method, a wireless communication system that includes a controller having a filter coefficient database and a web server, and a Digital Signal Processing device requests a filter coefficient and attribute information related to a set target frequency bandwidth from a management terminal. The wireless communication system receives the filter coefficient and the attribute information from the management terminal and stores the filter coefficient and the attribute information in the filter coefficient database. The wireless communication system sets a frequency bandwidth of the digital signal processing device as a set target frequency bandwidth based on the stored filter coefficient and the attribute information.

Disclosed herein an interference cancellation repeater and repeating method. The interference cancellation repeater includes a reception unit, an analog-to-digital (AD) converter unit, a digital processing unit, a digital-to-analog (DA) converter unit, and a transmission unit. The reception unit receives an analog signal. The AD converter unit converts the analog signal into a digital signal. The digital processing unit determines whether a feedback signal is present by analyzing the correlation between the digital signal and a previous transmission signal, and performs an operation of cancelling the feedback signal if, as a result of the determination, it is determined that the feedback signal is present. The DA converter unit converts a signal output from the digital processing unit into a transmission analog signal. The transmission unit sends the transmission analog signal.
