A display device includes a support plate supporting a bottom surface of a display panel, the support plate including a first plate portion overlapping a first active area in plan view and a first grid pattern portion overlapping a second active area in plan view and having slits through the support plate, and segment bodies on a bottom surface of the first grid pattern portion of the support plate, extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and spaced apart from each other in the first direction, the segment bodies include a first segment body and a second segment body adjacent to the first segment body, and at least a portion of the first segment body and at least a portion of the second segment body are connected through a first connection portion therebetween.

Display device with slidable roll axis for display panel

A flexible display panel of an expandable display device includes a first side with a display unit, and a second side opposite to the first side. A bending guide includes an external guide that faces part of the first side and has a first curved side, and an internal guide that faces part of the second side and has a second curved side. A slider that slides on the bending guide is attached to one end portion of the flexible display panel. A radius of the first curved side is greater than a radius of the second curved side. When the slider moves toward the bending guide, the first side contacts the first curved side and is bent by the first curved side, and when the slider moves away from the bending guide, the second side contacts the second curved side and is bent by the second curved side.

Expandable display device

A display device includes: a bendable display panel including a flat area and bendable areas; and a support module disposed on the display panel, wherein the support module supports the display panel, wherein the support module includes a support plate and joints, wherein the support plate overlaps the flat area and the bendable areas and includes lattice pattern areas including lattice patterns, and wherein the joints are disposed on the support plate, are disposed to overlap with the bendable areas, and are spaced apart from one another in the first direction. Each of the joints has a top surface and a bottom surface, wherein the top surface is disposed on the support plate, and the bottom surface is opposite to the top surface, and a width of each of the top surfaces of the joints is less than a width of each of the bottom surfaces of the joints.

Display device

A display device includes: a first display unit; a second display unit; a first support part under the first display unit; a second support part under the second display unit; a first housing which accommodates the first support part and the first display unit; a second housing into or from which the second support part and the second display unit are inserted or withdrawn; and a guide groove defined in the second housing and which guides the second support part during the inserting or withdrawing. The inserting or withdrawing is performed along a first direction, the second support part includes support bars extending along a second direction, each support bar includes a first part not inserted into the guide groove and a second part inserted into the guide groove, and a width of the second part is smaller than a width of the first part in the first direction.

A rollable display device includes a rollable display and a first protection film disposed on a first surface of the rollable display. The first protection film extends beyond a first display edge of the rollable display. The rollable display device further includes a second protection film disposed on a second surface of the rollable display facing the first surface of the rollable display. The second protection film extends beyond the first display edge of the rollable display. The rollable display device additionally includes a first adhesive layer disposed between the rollable display and the first protection film. The rollable display device further includes second adhesive layer disposed between the rollable display and the second protection film, and a first adhesion part disposed adjacent to the first display edge of the rollable display and between the first protection film and the second protection film.

A display device including: a display panel configured to display an image; and a winder configured to fix a first end portion of the display panel thereinto, wherein the winder includes a first fixing portion including a first external surface which is curved, and a second fixing portion that includes a second external surface which is curved and that faces the first external surface, wherein the first end portion of the display panel may be interposed between the first external surface and the second external surface.

An exemplary embodiment provides a display device including: a display panel configured to include a first area, and a second area and a third area respectively disposed at opposite sides of the first area in a first direction; a first roller unit configured to wind the second area thereon; and a second roller unit configured to wind the third area of the display panel in an opposite direction to that of the first roller unit, wherein a distance between the first roller unit and the second roller unit which are separated from each other in the first direction can be adjusted.

A foldable display device includes a display panel. The display panel includes a bending portion. A support structure supports the bending portion. The support structure includes a tube.
