A first communication device communicates with a second communication device based on first setting information stored in a first storage unit of the first communication device. The first communication device transmits the first setting information to the second communication device. The second communication device stores the first setting information received from the first communication device in a second storage unit. The first communication device receives, after first hardware of the first communication device is replaced, the first setting information stored in the second storage unit from the second communication device. The first communication device stores, after the replacement, the first setting information received from the second communication device in the first storage unit of the first communication device after the replacement.

Method for setting network information in communication device, communication system, and communication device

A division and assignment section of a radio equipment control divides an information region of a frame used for exchanging information with radio equipments connected thereto in a daisy-chain fashion, and assigns the information region after the division to the radio equipments. A transmission section transmits address information for the information region assigned to the radio equipments to the radio equipments. A receiving section of the radio equipment receives a frame from the radio equipment control or the radio equipment. A position recognition section recognizes a connection position of the radio equipment connected in the daisy-chain fashion on the basis of positional information included in the frame received. An acquisition section refers to the frame on the basis of the recognized connection position of the radio equipment, and acquires address information for the information region of the frame used for exchanging information with the radio equipment control.

Radio equipment (RE) is shared so as to use a plurality of types of radio signals, and data (IQ data) of the plurality of types of radio signals and monitoring control data are variably arranged in a frame for transmitting and receiving data between the RE and radio equipment controls (RECs). A plurality of types of data are simultaneously transmitted and received by one communication link between the RE and the RECs.

Method and apparatus for transmitting data between radio equipment and radio equipment controls

When a wireless channel fails, a working signal and a protection signal are synchronized and switching is performed without instantaneous disconnection. Each working unit of a plurality of working units is provided with a wireless-channel failure detector for detecting a failure that has occurred in a working wireless channel; a synchronization detecting circuit for detecting synchronization between a working wireless channel and a protection wireless channel; a changeover switch for selecting a signal from either the protection wireless channel or a working wireless channel without instantaneous disconnection; and a unit failure detector for detecting a failure that requires switching of a unit. When a failure develops in a wireless channel and a working wireless channel and the protection wireless channel are synchronized, a radio protection switching device controls the changeover switch to switch between working and protection wireless channels without instantaneous disconnection. Further, when failure that requires switching of a unit occurs, the radio protection switching device controls a unit changeover switch to switch between a working unit and the protection unit.
