In the hydrogen supply device for producing and supplying hydrogen to a fuel cell, a heat exchange section has a rotary thermal storage through which low and high temperature passages pass. Reforming material is supplied to the low temperature fluid passage on an upstream side of the heat exchange section. A reforming section for producing reformed gas containing hydrogen is located at a downstream side of the low temperature fluid passage. A combustion gas supply section for generating and supplying a combustion gas is located in the high temperature fluid passage. The rotary thermal storage rotates to move alternately between the low and high temperature fluid passages so that heat of the combustion gas flowing in the high temperature fluid conduit is transferred to reforming material flowing in the low temperature fluid conduit. The low temperature fluid passage communicates with the high temperature fluid passage via the fuel cell.

Hydrogen supply device

In the hydrogen supply device for producing and supplying hydrogen to a fuel cell, a reforming section has a rotary thermal storage through which low and high temperature passages pass. Reforming material is supplied to the low temperature fluid passage on an upstream side of the first rotary thermal storage. A combustion gas supply section for generating and supplying a combustion gas is located in the high temperature fluid passage on a downstream side of the first rotary thermal storage. With the hydrogen supply device mentioned above, the first rotary thermal storage rotates to move alternately between the low and high temperature fluid passages so that, in the reforming section, the reforming material flowing in the low temperature fluid passage is catalytically reformed to a reformed gas containing hydrogen upon receiving combustion heat of the combustion gas flowing in the high temperature fluid conduit.

In a cooling device for cooling a heat-generating member, a refrigerant tank includes a heat-receiving wall onto which the heat-generating member is attached in an attachment area, and a radiation wall opposite to the heat-receiving wall. A main wick is provided on an approximate entire inner surface of the heat-receiving wall, and an auxiliary wick is arranged opposite to at least a middle portion of an inner surface of the radiation wall within the attachment area. Condensation fins are provided to protrude from an inner surface of the radiation wall, and are separately arranged on both sides of the auxiliary wick. In the cooling device, the auxiliary wick is connected to the main wick and condensation fins.

Heat is absorbed from a first heat emitter and a second heat emitter is cooled by an adsorption type refrigerator operating by that absorbed heat. When the amount of emission of heat of the first heat emitter exceeds a predetermined amount of heat, the heat absorbed in the heat medium by a first heat collector is discharged to the outside air by an outdoor unit without being supplied to the adsorbent of the refrigerator. On the other hand, when the amount of emission of heat of the first heat emitter falls below a predetermined amount, the heat medium which had been supplied to a first heat exchanger for heating the adsorbent is switched to return to the first heat collector without flowing to the outdoor unit.

Cooling system of heat emitters

A tube is provided with elastically deformable tube deforming sections (tube curved sections), and a fin is provided with the quality of spring so that the fin deforms in accordance to changes of dimension between the tubes. Accordingly, it is possible to weaken (absorb) stress by the tube deforming sections (tube curved sections), and to prevent the fin from separating from the tube even when the tube deforming section (tube curved section) deforms.

Hydrogen occluding core

A fuel cell system includes a fuel cell (FC stack), an inflow passage valve provided in a hydrogen inflow passage through which hydrogen is supplied to the FC stack, and a discharge passage valve provided in a hydrogen discharge passage through which hydrogen containing gas is discharged from the FC stack as exhaust gas. In the fuel cell, hydrogen is supplied to the FC stack intermittently in accordance with an amount of hydrogen consumed in the FC stack, by controlling opening and closing of the inflow passage valve and the hydrogen discharge valve.

A cooling device for cooling a heat-generating member includes a refrigerant tank for boiling liquid refrigerant by heat from the heat-generating member and a radiator for cooling and condensing gas refrigerant from the refrigerant tank. The refrigerant tank has therein a plurality of refrigerant passages defined by ribs which are integrally formed with any one of opposite wall parts of the refrigerant tank. The ribs continuously extend in an up-down direction to be slightly longer than an up-down dimension of a boiling surface of the refrigerant tank. In the cooling device, because each passage width of the refrigerant passages is set to be equal to or smaller than double Laplace length, an outer diameter of bubbles in the refrigerant passages becomes larger, and liquid refrigerant can be moved upwardly by bubbles. Accordingly, it can restrict liquid refrigerant surface from being lowered even when gas-generating amount is increased.

Cooling device boiling and condensing refrigerant

A cooling device boiling and condensing refrigerant includes a refrigerant tank having a boiling space in which a part of liquid refrigerant is boiled and vaporized to gas refrigerant by absorbing heat from a heat-generating member, and a radiator having a header through which gas refrigerant from the boiling space flows into plural tubes connected to the header. One end of the header is inserted into the refrigerant tank, and the inserted end portion of the header has a communication port communicating with the boiling space through a gas refrigerant outlet. The communication port has a lower end at the same position as a lower end of the gas refrigerant outlet. Further, the tubes are inserted into the header to have opened ends within the header, and each lower end of the opened ends of the tubes is set at a position higher than the lower end of the communication port and the lower end of the gas refrigerant outlet. Thus, the cooling device prevents liquid refrigerant from flowing into the tubes from the opened ends in the header.

A cooling device boiling and condensing refrigerant includes a refrigerant tank having a boiling space in which a part of liquid refrigerant is boiled and vaporized to gas refrigerant by absorbing heat from a heat-generating member, first and second radiators disposed at upper and lower parts of the refrigerant tank, defined by a liquid refrigerant surface within the refrigerant tank, and a connection pipe connecting the first and second radiators. The first and second radiators have the same shape, and are disposed to cool and condense gas refrigerant from the boiling space. In the cooling device, even when the cooling device is used in a normal state or a vertically reversed state, sufficient radiating performance of the first and second radiators can be obtained.

A cooling apparatus includes a refrigerant tank containing boiling and condensing refrigerant and a radiator for cooling the refrigerant. The radiator is connected to the refrigerant tank on a front surface thereof, and hot objects to be cooled are attached to a heat-receiving surface formed on a rear surface of the refrigerant tank. The refrigerant is circulated in the apparatus so that the refrigerant is vaporized in the refrigerant tank and condensed in the radiator. The radiator is connected to the refrigerant tank by inserting a pair of header tanks thereof into the refrigerant tank. The insertion length is controlled to obtain good heat conductivity between the radiator and the refrigerant tank and to avoid deformation of a radiator fin contacting the refrigerant tank. Holes for mounting a substrate carrying the hot objects may be made on enlarged portions of a cover plate closing the refrigerant tank. The heat-receiving surface may be elevated from the rear surface of the refrigerant tank to avoid interference between other components mounted on the substrate and the rear surface of the refrigerant tank.

Cooling apparatus using boiling and condensing refrigerant

A cooling apparatus for cooling a heating body such as a CPU by boiling and condensing refrigerant has a tank having a heating body mounting portion on which the CPU is mounted; a porous metallic sintered body arranged in the tank; and refrigerant contained in the tank. The tank has a pair of faced walls including a heat-receiving wall and a radiation wall. The porous metallic sintered body is arranged along the heat-receiving wall, and transports the refrigerant collected at the bottom of the tank to an adjacent portion of the heating body mounting portion by using a capillary action. Since the refrigerant is boiled at such a wide adjacent portion, a superheat degree of the heating body mounting portion can decrease. Furthermore, since the refrigerant collected at the bottom of the tank is transported to the adjacent portion by the capillary action, an area of the radiation wall soaked in the refrigerant becomes small. As a result, a condensation area for condensing the vapor refrigerant becomes large, and then the supercool degree of the radiation wall can decrease. In this way, a cooling capacity of the cooling apparatus can increase.

Cooling apparatus by boiling and cooling refrigerant

In a cooling apparatus, a radiating part mounted on a refrigerant tank is made by stacking refrigerant tubes and fins alternately. A first header and a second header are provided at the ends of the refrigerant tubes. When the cooling apparatus is used in a vertical attitude, the first header is positioned above the liquid surface of refrigerant inside the refrigerant tank, and the second header is positioned below the liquid surface. Consequently, vapor refrigerant boiled by heat from a heat-emitting body attached to the refrigerant tank can flow through the first header into the refrigerant tubes, and liquid refrigerant liquefied in the refrigerant tubes can flow through the second header back to the refrigerant tank.

Cooling apparatus for high-temperature medium by boiling and condensing

An (n)th adsorber and (n+1)th adsorber among a plurality of adsorbers in an adsorption process are connected thermally in series, and adsorbent of the (n)th adsorber which is a previous stage is cooled by adsorption of refrigerant by adsorbent of the (n+1)th adsorber which is a subsequent stage. That is to say, adsorbent of a first-stage adsorber on the left-hand side which adsorbs vapor of refrigerant such as water which exits from an evaporator is strongly cooled by adsorption of vapor from refrigerant such as water which flows through a cooling pipe by adsorbent of a second-stage adsorber on the right-hand side, large adsorption capacity is imparted by a reduction in temperature, and as a result, the evaporator demonstrates large refrigeration capacity. Consequently, a compact adsorptive type refrigeration apparatus which demonstrates large refrigeration capacity while having a compact adsorber and using a comparatively small quantity of adsorbent is provided. The present invention can also be applied with respect to an adsorption process of a refrigeration system in which adsorbent circulates in an adsorber.

Adsorptive type refrigeration apparatus

The device eliminates water droplets from adhering to an evaporator of an automotive air conditioner after the vehicle as been shut off or stopped. In order to park a vehicle, a vehicle driver switches off an ignition switch device, which also switches off an accessory switch, unfastens a seatbelt, and exits the vehicle. Thereupon, after switching off of the accessory switch, when time t elapses, a control circuit sequentially executes a series of steps to recognize the parked state from the three conditions of switching off of a seatbelt switch, a no-rider signal of a rider sensor, and switching off of a door-lock switch. Thereupon, the control circuit announces operation of a blower by means of a notification device, then sets various dampers so as to enable an inner air intake mode, heater core bypass mode, and face mode, and operates the blower at high. Thereupon, water droplets adhering to an evaporator are blown away and removed by means of blown air from this blower.

Air-conditioning apparatus for vehicle use

A filter device having a plurality of filter elements and at least one flexible joint connecting the filter elements to each other. The filter elements are made of a substantially inflexible material and have connecting surfaces in parallel with a direction of air flowing through a passage in which the filter device is provided. One end of the flexible joint is connected to the connecting surface of one of the filter elements, and the other end of the flexible joint is connected to the connecting surface of the filter element adjacent thereto.
