A sliding device of the present disclosure includes: a fixed rail; a movable rail; a rack fixed within the fixed rail, the rack extending along an axis parallel to a longitudinal axis of the fixed rail; a pinion provided to the movable rail, the pinion including multiple teeth to be engaged with the rack and rotating by receiving a driving force; and a restrictor slidingly displaced integrally with the movable rail, the restrictor contacting with the rack when the movable rail is sliding, to thereby restrict the rack from being displaced in a direction away from the pinion.

Sliding device for a vehicle seat

A sliding device of the present disclosure includes: a fixed rail; a movable rail; a rack; a pinion; an intermediate gear; a driving device; and a support member. The support member includes a first support body and a second support body. The first support body and the second support body being coupled below the pinion and integrally molded. The sliding device further includes a restricting body configured to restrict elastic displacement such that an end of the first support body above the pinion and an end of the second support body above the pinion separate from each other.

Seat sliding device

Provided is a sliding device. The sliding device includes a fixed rail, a movable rail, a rack, a pinion, a locking mechanism that restricts sliding of the movable rail, and a gear mechanism. The gear mechanism includes multiple gears and transmits a rotation generated in an electric motor to the pinion. A slide rail of a vehicle seat includes a first rail to which a screw having a screw thread formed on an outer periphery is fixed, and a second rail that retains a nut into which the screw screws, and moves relative to the first rail by the nut rotating. The first rail has a through-hole into which the screw is inserted. At least one end of the screw has a deformed portion that is deformed toward an outside in a radial direction of the screw with respect to the first rail while the at least one end of the screw is in a state passing through the through-hole, and that keeps the screw from slipping out of the through-hole.

An operation mechanism of a side support apparatus adapted to be accommodated in a right and left side support portions provided at a seatback and being movable between a support position and an open position, includes a support structure including a pulley and being movable between the open position and the support position, a first fixing portion including a first guide portion and a second guide portion and fixedly provided at a seatback member, and a drive cable being fixedly attached to the first fixing portion at a first end portion of the drive cable and being engaged with the pulley at an intermediate of the drive cable. The pulley is pushed by a tensile force generated at the drive cable by pulling the drive cable so that the support structure is movable relative to the first fixing portion in a direction toward the support position.
