Provided is an engine cooling structure for an engine where the engine is cooled by a cooling fluid supplied from a radiator, and the cooling fluid discharged from the engine is cooled by the radiator. The cooling structure includes: an inlet hose having one end coupled to the engine, and having the other end coupled to the radiator, the inlet hose including two or more hose members, and a connecting pipe configured to connect the two or more hose members, to each other; and a clamp including a pipe-side connection portion connected to the connecting pipe, and an engine-side connection portion directly or indirectly connected to the engine. The clamp has a gap between the clamp and the connecting pipe, and the gap functions as a transmission suppressing portion which suppresses transmission of vibrations from the engine-side connection portion to the connecting pipe.

Engine cooling structure

A vehicle heat exchanger includes a plurality of cup plates that are formed such that a first layered space into which a first heat carrier is introduced and a second layered space into which a second heat carrier is introduced are formed alternately between the plurality of cup plates when the plurality of plates are stacked. Peripheral end portions of the plurality of cup plates are fixed together in a liquid-tight manner. A distance in a stacking direction from a first cup plate that forms the first layered space to a second cup plate that forms the second layered space and a distance in the stacking direction from the second cup plate to the first cup plate are set to different distances, and end portions of outer wall portions of the cup plates are bent back so as to be apart from each other when the cup plates are stacked.

Vehicle heat exchanger

A vehicle front structure includes a cable member, one end portion of which is connected to a clutch pedal and the other end portion of which is detachably held by a retaining member arranged between an engine and a wall-like member arranged in front, in a vehicle longitudinal direction, of the engine, the cable member being arranged running across in back, in the vehicle longitudinal direction, of the wall-like member, and a protruding pressing member that is provided on a wall surface that faces a rear, in the vehicle longitudinal direction, of the wall-like member so as to face the cable member, and that detaches the other end portion of the cable member from the retaining member by pushing the cable member toward the rear in the vehicle longitudinal direction when a load is input from the front of the vehicle in the vehicle longitudinal direction.

Thermo-valve

An automatic engine stop/restart-type vehicle and control method determine whether a vehicle is in a non-running range. The vehicle comprises: an engine; a transmission, an oil pump and a controller. The transmission has a coupling element that transmits an output torque of the engine. The oil pump supplies a hydraulic pressure to the transmission. The controller controls an output from the engine; controls the hydraulic pressure supplied to the transmission; and determines whether the engine is in an automatic stop state when a manually set mode of the transmission is shifted from a non-running range to a running range. A hydraulic pressure compensation procedure is performed to conform friction coupling characteristics of the coupling element and input characteristics of the transmission with each other if the controller determines that the engine is in the automatic stop state.

Automatic engine stop/restart-type vehicle, method of controlling the same, and automatic engine stop apparatus

A condition for driving an electric oil pump is set. A turbine speed or an input speed of an automatic transmission is measured. A correction amount for a hydraulic pressure is calculated on the basis of the turbine speed obtained by reference to a relation between the turbine speed and hydraulic pressure, and a correction amount for a drive duty ratio of the electric oil pump which is required for generation of the corrected hydraulic pressure is calculated. The procedure is resumed after the procedure has been performed. The condition for driving the electric oil pump is updated on the basis of the correction amount for the drive duty ratio calculated.

Oil pump control device for automatic transmission and control method of the same

An electric oil pump capable of suppressing wear of an electric oil pump used as auxiliary to a main oil pump to thereby prolong the life of the pump and avoid any need to provide a larger pump. An electric oil pump ( ) is operated only for a predetermined acceptable operation time, and the engine ( ) is thereafter activated to cause the mechanical oil pump ( ) to supply oil pressure. This arrangement can limit successive operating time for the electric oil pump ( ), suppressing wear of the electric oil pump ( ) and thus prolonging its life. Provision of a larger electric oil pump ( ) can also be avoided.

Electric oil pump control device

An automatic start controlling apparatus for automatically starting an internal combustion engine. A transmission is coupled to the engine. The transmission has a clutch, which is actuated by an oil pump other than the engine when the engine stops. The transmission has an input shaft and an output shaft. The input shaft is connected to the engine. The automatic start controlling apparatus has a controller. When the engine is automatically started, the controller detects whether the clutch is completely engaged. When the controller judges that the clutch is partially engaged, the controller reduces the output torque of the engine or limits an increase of the output torque.
