Systems, products and methods for enabling symptom verification. Verifying a symptom may include eliminating repeated symptom definitions or eliminating symptoms having low accuracy. A computer system enables verification of a symptom including a rule for detecting a set of events related to a given problem. The computer system includes a symptom database which stores the symptom, a specimen database which stores a specimen including a set of events detected according to a rule of a certain symptom, and an analysis unit which analyzes the specimen stored in the specimen database using a new symptom in order to determine whether to add the new symptom to the symptom database. The present disclosure also includes a method and a computer program for enabling verification of a symptom including a rule for detecting a set of events related to a given problem.

Determining the content of access control to data based on classification results obtained by classifying data includes recording setting information that sets a plurality of classification engines for predetermined conditions related to either data or to the access to the data and acquiring data subject to access when access to the data subject to access is requested. Responsive to satisfaction of predetermined conditions related to either the data subject to the access or access to the data subject to access, classification of data subject to access by the plurality of classification engines set for predetermined conditions in the setting information is indicated using a processor. Further, using the processor, the content of access control to the data subject to access based on classification results obtained by the plurality of classification engines classifying data subject to access is determined based on the indicating classification of data.

A mechanism is provided for sending a password to a terminal. A password send request is received. The status of each of a plurality of terminals coupled to the information processing device via a network is acquired. On the basis of the acquired statuses, at least one item is selected from a group comprising the terminal serving as a destination for the password, the communication method with the terminal, or the method for inputting the password in the terminal. The password is then sent to the selected terminal via a network.

There is provided a system having a plurality of information processing apparatuses, each of which includes a storage device where at least one piece of pattern data indicating an occurrence pattern of events to be detected in the information processing apparatus is stored, a generation section that specifies a collection of events to be detected in the occurrence pattern based on the pattern data read from the storage device and generates necessary event data indicating the specified collection of events, a selection section that selects an event included in the necessary event data from events which have occurred in the information processing apparatus and events transferred from another information processing apparatus, and a detection section that detects if the selected event matches with the occurrence pattern indicated by the pattern data, and outputs a detection result.

Detecting patterns of events in information systems

A mechanism is provided for authenticating a second terminal based on information sensed by a first terminal. Responsive to receiving an authentication request, a first output request is sent to a second terminal instructing the second terminal to generate information able to be sensed by a sensor in a first terminal. An authentication of the authentication request is performed based on a condition that the sensor in the first terminal has sensed the information generated by the second terminal.

A mechanism is provided for sensor sharing control dynamically. One or more sensor use permissions are received from one or more sensor provider terminals. For each sensor use permission, a sensor use permission is recorded in an authorization policy thereby forming a set of authorization policies. A use request is recorded for sensor use request information received from a sensor user terminal in a request policy. A search is performed for any authorization policy in the set of authorization policies that matches the request policy. Responsive to identifying the authorization policy that matches the request policy, a list of sensors included in the sensor use permissions of an authorization policy that matches the request policy is created. The list of sensors is transmitted to the sensor user terminal, where the search is performed again dynamically when the request policy or one of the set of authorization policies is changed.

Sensor sharing control

Event data pattern identification, storage, and sharing in a peer-to-peer network is disclosed. This includes peer-to-peer devices that store data events, review previously stored data events and identify patterns between the stored events and newly received events. Improvements can serve to reduce duplicative traffic and enhance network performance.
