A rotating electric machine having a plurality of ventilating passages formed between a stator frame and a stator iron core and coolers which cool a coolant being provided in the plurality of the ventilating passages. A ventilating circuit in which at least a portion of the coolant which is cooled by one of the coolers is further cooled by another of the coolers, and is allowed to flow to a central portion in an axial direction of the stator iron core in a direction from an outer peripheral side to an inner peripheral side of the stator iron core at least via one ventilating passage of the plurality of ventilating passage which communicates with the central portion in the axial direction of the stator iron core.

Rotating electric machine and cooling method thereof

A rotating electric machine having a plurality of ventilating passages formed between a stator frame and a stator iron core, a cooler which cools a coolant is provided at least in one ventilating passage, communicating with a central portion of the stator iron core, of the plurality of ventilating passages, and a ventilating circuit in which the coolant cooled by the cooler is allowed to flow to the central portion of the stator iron core in a direction from an outer peripheral side to an inner peripheral side of the stator iron core via the at least one ventilating passage which communicates with the central portion of the stator iron core.

Rotating electric machine

A rotating electric machine exhibits a substantially level axial temperature rise distribution by supplying a coolant which is sufficiently cooled to a central portion of an iron core which is most distant from each of the axial ends of the iron core. A plurality of ventilating passages, which continuously extend in the peripheral direction, are provided in the axial direction between a stator frame and a stator iron core, and coolers are provided in the ventilating passages. A coolant boosted by a booster is cooled by the coolers and is allowed to flow to a central portion of the stator iron core in the direction from the outer peripheral side to the inner peripheral side of the stator iron core via ventilating passages which communicate with the central portion of the stator iron core.

Dynamo-electric machine

A rotating machine having a stator core and coolers for cooling a cooling medium which is circulated inside the machine by the rotation of a fan installed near a rotating axis of the rotating machine. The coolers being installed in a ventilation passage for the cooling medium and including at least one cooler installed in one ventilation passage extending from an exhaust side of the fan to a suction side of the fan via the stator core, and at least another cooler installed in another ventilation passage extending from the exhaust side of the fan in the one ventilation passage to an inside of an inner surface of the stator core.

Rotating machine with plural coolers in plural ventilation passages

An electric rotating machine having a rotor, rotatably disposed in an inner radius side of a stator through a gap, including rotor windings contained in a plurality of slots formed in a rotor core, a slot insulation placed between the rotor winding and the slot, an insulation block placed between a wedge arranged at a peripheral side of the rotor core outward of the rotor winding of the slot and the rotor winding. At least one of the slot insulation and the insulation block is an insulation formed by filling or mixing granular and/or short-fiber insulating materials having a thermal conductivity higher than 5 W/m&middot;K in a resin and a thermal conductivity in a thickness direction higher than 0.35 W/m&middot;K.

Electric rotating machine

There is provided an electric rotary machine having, in particular, a large capacity, in which a volume of cooling air is ensured for the axially center part thereof so as to make the temperature distribution uniform in the axial direction of the rotor and the stator. Each of gas coolers in the electric rotary machine is divided into not less than two of passage parts in which streams run in two directions in opposite to each other are created, and a stator-cooling connection passage is formed so as to connect not less than two passage parts located in the radially outward part of the stator and axially defined by partition walls with the passage parts in the gas coolers in the electric rotary machine. With this arrangement, cold gas can be led into the axially center part of the stator without increasing the total ventilation resistance, and accordingly, it is possible to prevent occurrence of temperature rise in the axially center parts of the stator and the rotor, which would be caused in the electric rotary machine having, in particular, a large capacity.

Rotary electric machine

A rotating machine having a stator core and being equipped with coolers for cooling a cooling medium which is circulated inside the machine by the rotation of a fan installed near a rotating axis of the rotating machine. The coolers are installed in a ventilation passage for the cooling medium and include a primary cooler installed in a primary ventilation passage extending from an exhaust side of the fan to a suction side of the fan via the stator core, and a secondary cooler installed in a secondary ventilation passage extending from the exhaust side of the fan in the primary ventilation passage to an inside of an inner surface of the stator core via the stator core.

Rotating machine

An air ventilation hole provided on a creepage block and an air ventilation hole provided on a rotor winding, and having a different shape than the air ventilation hole provided on the creepage block communicate smoothly with an air ventilation hole provided on the most outer diameter turn of the rotary winding, which is in contact with the creepage block of the rotor winding. Accordingly, the withstand pressure of the creepage block can be maintained fully and also the flow of a cooling air flowing in a radial direction to the rotor winding, the creepage block, and a wedge can be formed smoothly. As a result, the cooling air can be increased and a heat exchange having a good efficiency can be carried out. Accordingly, the cooling performance of the rotor winding can be heightened and the creepage block can be formed with a high reliability against centrifugal force.

In order to provide an electric rotary machine in which the cooling performance can be improved without providing specific means on the flow path of cooling gas and without increasing the flow rate of the cooling gas, a plurality of through holes,perforated in each of plate-shaped conductors,forming a winding conductor,are arranged in plural rows of through holes,in the width direction of the plate-shaped conductor, a plurality of cooling gas flow paths,formed in the winding conductor,branch off into plural rows and the cooling area for the cooling gas is increased.

Electric rotary machine

An the electric rotating machine which is compact and of reduced cost by improving the thermal conductivity of the main insulation in the thickness direction while maintaining the insulation breakdown voltage of the main insulation high. The initial breakdown voltage V in the thickness direction of the main insulator 30 of the stator winding 3 is higher than 20 kV/mm, and the thermal conductivity &lgr; in the thickness direction is within a range of 0.35 to 1 W/m&middot;K, and the product V&lgr; of the initial breakdown voltage V and the thermal conductivity &lgr; satisfies a relationship of 7&lE;V&lgr;&lE;20 (MWA/m,&middot;K). The amount of resin is within a range of 20 to 50 weight % of the main insulation material.

Electric rotating machine with reduced thickness and volume of insulation

In order to provide a rotating machine in which the temperature increase distribution inside the machine can be equalized, not only is a primary cooler installed in the primary ventilation passage that extends from the exhaust side of the fans and installed on the rotating axis to the suction side of the fans and via the core, but a secondary cooler is installed in the secondary ventilation passage that is branched from the primary ventilation passage, thus making it possible to further cool part of the cooling medium, which has once been cooled by the primary cooler, by means of the secondary cooler, that is, to cool the cooling medium by circulating it through the coolers twice.

A commutator apparatus for rotary electric machines comprises a plurality of commutator segments mounted side by side on a rotary shaft through an insulating ring along the periphery thereof, an armature winding wound on a rotor core and including a plurality of coil ends projected axially from the rotor core, and a plurality of risers made of a conductor, one end of each thereof being connected to one axial end of the corresponding commutator segments, the other end of the riser being securely connected to one end of the corresponding armature coil. Each pair of adjacent risers are bound by an insulating binder to reduce the space therebetween, thus forming a substantially delta-shaped space defined by the adjacent risers on each side of said binder. The vibrations of the risers are thus absorbed and the vibratory stress of the risers is reduced, thus improving the mechanical strength and reliability of the commutator apparatus.
