A battery pack () includes: paired supporting members (); a battery module () disposed between the supporting members (); and a stack member () supporting the battery module () by linking the supporting members to each other. An extending portion () protruding from the battery module () is formed by extending an end portion of the stack member (). Accessories () are attached to a side surface on a side where the extending portion () of the stack member () is disposed, the side surface being one of side surfaces of the battery pack which are provided with the paired supporting members ().

Battery pack

A battery pack () includes: multiple battery modules () stacked in a vertical direction with a predetermined gap (G) provided between the battery modules () and with a predetermined gap (G) between the battery modules (); and a battery controller () attached to sides of the battery modules () in such a manner as to face the predetermined gap (G).

A catalytic combustor is configured to accelerate the combustion processing of anode off gas in the combustor to reduce the amount of unburned hydrogen discharged to the outside of the combustor. Anode off gas and cathode off gas discharged from the fuel cell are fed into the catalytic combustor and combusted with a catalyst. Ventilation air is supplied from inside of the fuel cell is also supplied to the catalytic combustor. A portion of the catalytic combustor located upstream of the catalyst inside is divided into an upper flow path and a lower flow path by a partitioning plate and a gas flow passage is provided upstream of the upper and lower flow paths. The cathode off gas is supplied to the gas flow passage.

Catalytic combustor

A support structure of the present invention includes a fixation member directly or indirectly heated, a supported object supported by the fixation member, and a sliding member provided on an outer periphery of the fixation member, the sliding member being slidable in a longitudinal direction of the fixation member. In the support structure, one fixation part of the supported object is fixed to the fixation member and another fixation part of the supported object is fixed to the sliding member. By this structure, it is possible to avoid concentration of stress and to surely support the supported object to the thermally expanding fixation member.

Support structure

In a fuel reforming system () of a fuel cell system (), which includes a reformer () generating hydrogen-containing gas to be an electromotive fuel and a combustor () generating combustion gas, the combustor () has two combustion parts including a main combustion part () and a sub-combustion part (), a fuel pre-vaporization part () between the two combustion parts and a main fuel injection valve () and a sub-fuel injection valve () which supply the fuel to the respective combustion parts. In start-up of the fuel cell system (), predetermined amounts of fuel and air for generating heat quantity required in the fuel pre-vaporization part () are subjected to lean combustion in the sub-combustion part (), the fuel to be combusted in the main combustion part () is pre-vaporized in the fuel pre-vaporization part () by use of the combustion gas from the sub-combustion part (), and the pre-vaporized fuel obtained by the pre-vaporization and air are subjected to premixed lean combustion in the main combustion part ().

Fuel reforming system

In a reforming reactor (), a partial oxidation reaction is performed between a hydrocarbon fuel and air, and in a mixer (), water is injected into hot gas heated by the partial oxidation reaction to vaporize the water, and the vaporized water is mixed with the hot gas. In a shift reactor (), the vaporized water is made to undergo a shift reaction with the hot gas. In this way, a device for promoting vaporization of the water or a complex fuel injection device is not required.

Fuel reforming system of a fuel cell

A fuel injector () supplies liquid fuel to a catalytic combustor () of a fuel reforming device during startup of a fuel reforming device. A controller sets the injection amount (Qf) for liquid fuel to a first injection amount (Qf) during a predetermined time (t) after starting fuel injection. After the predetermined time, the injection amount (Qf) is set to a second injection amount (Qf) which is larger than the first injection amount (Qf). When the elapsed time after starting fuel injection is smaller than a value (t), the discharged amount of uncombusted fuel is reduced by setting the injection amount (Qf) to a minimum injection amount (Qf) which allows ignition and combustion in the catalyst.
