Determination is made as to whether or not to enable communications by a communication processing unit with an on-board unit, on the basis of a receive strength detected from a radio wave received via a communication antenna, and the angle of arrival and the receive strength of a direct wave and the angle of arrival and the receive strength of a reflected wave, the angles of arrival and the receive strengths being estimated from one or more radio waves received via an angle measurement antenna.

Roadside communication device and road-to-vehicle communication method

A subarray spatial averaging unit performs spatial averaging of correlation matrices by dividing a received signal of an array antenna to a plurality of subarrays having different shapes, and calculating these correlation matrices for the respective subarrays having different shapes. An eigenvalue expanding unit performs eigenvalue expansion of correlation matrices for the respective plurality of subarrays having different shapes after spatial averaging. A wave count estimating unit estimates an incoming wave count by integrating eigenvalues of the plurality of subarrays having different shapes obtained by the eigenvalue expanding unit.

An air cleaner of a vehicle for filtering particulate matter from air supplied through an intake includes a case with an outlet. The case surrounds the air cleaner, which further includes two connecting tubes each having a first end disposed through the outlet and a second end located in the case. A funnel is clamped to the second end of each of the connecting tubes. A bracket is attached to each of the funnels for rigidly mounting the funnels inside the case of the air cleaner. The first end of each of the connecting tubes is further connected to the throttle body of the vehicle to provide clean air from the air cleaner to the engine.

A stationary object decision processing unitdecides whether range R and Doppler frequency fcorresponding to peaks detected by the peak detection processing unitsatisfy geometric positional relationships between a radar and a stationary object. If they satisfy the geometric positional relationships, it recognizes that the object associated with the peaks is a stationary object. Thus, even if the number of peaks detected by the peak detection processing unitincreases, it can accurately decide whether the object associated with the peaks is a stationary object or not with a small amount of calculation.

A calibration device includes reference signal normalizing units-to-M that set, as a reference signal, a frequency domain signal being associated with either one 2 of reception antennas and being included in frequency domain signals obtained by conversions made by Fourier transform units-to-M, and divide the frequency domain signals after the conversion made by the Fourier transform units-to-M by the reference signal, thereby normalizing the frequency domain signals, and reference frequency normalizing units-to-M that normalize the frequency domain signals normalized by the reference signal normalizing units-to-M by using a signal having a reference frequency included in the frequency domain signals.

Calibration device

A transmission includes a drive force transmission/interruption mechanism that restricts the rotation of a propeller shaft. By operating a shift lever, the shift operation of the transmission and the operation of the drive force transmission/interruption mechanism can be performed, and a lock operation and an unlock operation of a differential lock mechanism can be performed. When a driver wants to bring a vehicle into a parking state, by operating a shift lever, a state is provided where a drive force transmission/interruption mechanism is locked so that the rotation of a propeller shaft is restricted, and the vehicle can be held in a stopped state by bringing a differential lock mechanism into a locked state. Since the vehicle can be brought into a parking state using the shift lever, a so-called parking lever becomes unnecessary so that the number of operation elements can be reduced.

Vehicle transmission

A vehicle includes a power unit with an engine that transmits drive force forward and backward to front and rear wheels via propeller shafts. The power unit is supported on a vehicle frame by engine mounts provided at three locations. An engine mount on one side of a crankshaft is farther from the center of gravity of the power unit than the other two mounts. This engine mount joins the crank case and the vehicle frame. The two other engine mounts on the other side of the crankshaft are closer to the center of gravity. These engine mounts join the vehicle frame and front and rear ends of an engine hanger that is joined to the crank case and extends forward and backward beyond at least one of a front end and a rear end of the crank case.

Power unit support structure for off-road vehicles

A passive radar device includes: a pulse-by-pulse range compression unit executing cross-correlation processing between received signals of a direct wave and scattered wave on each of pulses divided by a direct-wave reception unit and a scattered-wave reception unit, and calculating a pulse-by-pulse range profile; a block-by-block Doppler processing unit calculating a first Doppler frequency spectrum by executing pulse-direction Fourier transform in block units each grouping plural pulses; a Doppler frequency cell-associated range migration compensation unit compensating a range-direction movement amount with respect to the first Doppler frequency spectrum on a Doppler-frequency-cell-by-Doppler-frequency-cell basis and on a block-by-block basis; and a block-direction Doppler processing unit calculating a second Doppler frequency spectrum by executing block-direction Fourier transform on an output from the Doppler frequency cell-associated range migration compensation unit.

Passive radar device

An exhaust port formed on one side portion of an engine body along the vehicle width direction, the exhaust port connected to an exhaust muffler arranged in an extending manner in the vehicle width direction along a rear edge of the vehicle body frame by way of an exhaust pipe passage means that introduces an exhaust gas from the exhaust port. The exhaust pipe passage means is arranged in an extending manner in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle while having a bent portion bent toward the center in the vehicle width direction from one side of the engine body in the vehicle width direction behind the engine body, as viewed in a plan view.

Exhaust system mounting structure for vehicle

An off-road vehicle is provided with a body frame that supports a final drive unit and a rear suspension, the rear suspension that supports rear wheels with an upper arm and an lower arm and absorbs shock with a rear cushion unit disposed between the rear wheels and the body frame, and a drive shaft that transmits a driving force from the final drive unit to the rear wheels. The body frame that configures generally rectangular parallelepiped sides enclosing the area around the final drive unit is provided with a front rear side frame. The front rear side frame vertically extends the left and right of one side of either the front side or the back side of the final drive unit and supports the upper arm, the lower arm, and the rear cushion unit.

Off-road vehicle

A storage structure of an off-road vehicle includes a front row seat, a back row seat capable of switching between a usage position where a passenger sits, and a stowed position, a back row floor where a passenger seated in the back row seat places his feet when the back row seat is in the usage position or forms a portion of the storage structure, creating a storage space when the back row seat is in the stowed position, and rear doors. In the stowed position, the back row seat covers an upper part of the upper space of the back row floor, and the rear doors cover a side part of the upper space of the back row floor forming a rear storage section and the back row seat concurrently provide a load-carrying platform.

Storage structure of off-road vehicle

A rough-terrain traveling vehicle equipped with a front seat roll bar and a rear seat roll bar is adapted to allow use of only the front seat roll bar. The front seat roll bar includes a top middle cross pipe extending left and right in the vehicle width direction, and left and right middle side pipes extending to the top middle cross pipe. Left and right gussets are provided at left and right assembly points where the left and right middle side pipes and the top middle cross pipe each are connected. When attachment screws are inserted into the left and right gussets, the rear seat roll bar is joined to the front seat roll bar.

Rough-terrain traveling vehicle

An antilock brake control unit in a saddle-riding type vehicle includes a storage box disposed behind a head pipe and above an engine unit with a fuel tank disposed behind the storage box and obliquely above and behind the engine unit. A riding seat is disposed above the fuel tank. A seat supporting frame extends rearwardly and upwardly from rear parts of a pair of left and right main frames and crosses a front part of a fuel tank provided between the pair of left and right main frames with an upper end of the seat supporting frame supporting a front part of a riding seat. An antilock brake control unit is disposed at a position covered with the seat supporting frame from above.

Saddle-riding type vehicle

A four-wheeled vehicle is provided which increases and secures the volume of an air cleaner while avoiding increase in the number of components and reducing the influence of the air cleaner on other components. The vehicle is equipped with a driver seat and a passenger seat arranged on a vehicle body frame side by side in the vehicle width direction, and is equipped with an engine disposed on the vehicle body frame substantially at the center in the front-rear direction of the vehicle. An air cleaner, constituting a part of an intake device of the engine and formed in an elongated shape in the vehicle width direction, is disposed between the driver seat and the passenger seat.

Four-wheeled vehicle

A combined heat shield and wire-holding structure for a saddle-type vehicle, where the vehicle includes a pair of right and left frame sections extending in a vehicle longitudinal direction, and a fuel tank disposed above the vehicle body frame sections. The combined heat shield and wire-holding structure comprises a heat shield, which is disposed below the fuel tank and which extends between the right and left body frame sections. The combined heat shield and wire-holding structure includes a wire-holding portion which extends in the vehicle longitudinal direction outside of the vehicle body frame, and the wire-holding portion holds a wiring harness routed through an inside portion of the vehicle.
