A vehicle designed to increase a maximum drive torque transmitted from an engine to drive wheels. The vehicle comprises: an input member to which a torque is delivered from the engine; an output member connected to drive wheels; a reaction mechanism that establishes a reaction torque; and a differential mechanism. A differential mechanism comprises: an input element connected to the input member; an output element connected to the output member; and a reaction element connected to the reaction mechanism. A torque converter is arranged between the input member and the output member.

Vehicle

An engine includes a cylinder block including a cylinder wall, a cylinder liner, and a water jacket. The engine further includes a heater including an induction coil disposed in the water jacket. The heater is configured to heat the cylinder wall by generating an eddy current in the cylinder wall by an alternating current flowing through the induction coil.

Engine

A first clutch CLis disposed between engine Eng and left and right rear wheels RL, RR, and control of disengaging first clutch CLis performed by setting line pressure PL as an original pressure and executing F/B control of a piston stroke position. In this FR hybrid vehicle, when disengaging first clutch CL, line pressure increase control to increase line pressure PL to a value higher than a reference line pressure in advance is started at least before a piston pressure reaches the reference line pressure, and line pressure PL is returned to the reference line pressure when the piston pressure is reduced during this disengagement operation.

Vehicle control device

Compatibility between prevention of hunting of engine start and stop and improvement of fuel consumption is achieved during traveling with mode transitions. An apparatus for controlling a hybrid vehicle includes an engine, a motor-generator, a first clutch and a mode transition control means. The motor-generator is disposed in a drive system (power train) between engine and tire wheels to perform a start of the engine and drive for the tire wheels according to motor acceleration and power generation according to regeneration. The first clutch switches between an HEV mode and an EV mode. Mode transition control means implements a delay time from a time at which an engine stop allowance condition is established to a time at which a mode transition from the HEV mode to the EV mode is started in a high vehicle speed area that is higher than a delay time in another vehicle speed area.

Apparatus and method for controlling hybrid vehicle

Provided is a hybrid-vehicle control device that can continue high-speed driving, without transitioning to the HEV mode, by raising the motor torque limit during driving in the EV mode. The hybrid-vehicle control device includes: an engine; a motor that starts the engine and that drives driving wheels; a first clutch that switches between the HEV mode and the EV mode; an automatic transmission; and an electric-vehicle mode control means. The smaller the transmission ratio of the transmission is during driving in the EV mode, the smaller the value of the engine start torque, which is reserved for transitioning to the HEV mode, is made by the electric-vehicle mode control means.

Hybrid-vehicle control device

A hybrid vehicle drive control system is configured to perform engine startup when switching from an electric drive mode to a hybrid drive mode, without creating a sense of output torque loss. In particular, a controller selectively controls a first clutch disposed between the engine and the motor/generator and a second clutch disposed between the motor/generator and a drive wheel to switch between an electric drive mode in which the first clutch is released and the second clutch is engaged, and a hybrid drive mode in which both the first and second clutches are engaged. The controller sets the second torque transfer capacity to a value that is more than zero and less than the target motor/generator torque of the motor/generator when switching from the electric drive mode to the hybrid drive mode and when starting the engine.

Hybrid vehicle drive control system

An engine of a hybrid vehicle is lift started by reducing a rotational speed of a motor/generator of the hybrid vehicle by adjusting a gearshift ratio of a transmission coupled to the motor/generator, and engaging a clutch to couple the engine, while in a stopped state, to the rotating motor/generator for imparting the rotation to the engine.
