This tone setter comprises a memory for storing a program and a plurality of tone data; and at least one processor configured to utilize the plurality of tone data and set a sound source. In accordance with the program, the at least one processor executes accepting a selection of one or more tones made by an operation of a user; and setting, in at least an electronic musical instrument or a sound source of the tone setter, tone data corresponding to the selected one or more tones such that sound having the selected one or more tones is generatable with the musical instrument.

Tone setting device, electronic musical instrument system, and tone setting method

A sequence of performance data to be loop-reproduced is read out repetitively for at least two cycles, and audio data repeating for at least two cycles are created on the basis of the read-out performance data. Audio data of a second or subsequent cycle of the created audio data have mixed therein a residual portion (release portion or reverberation portion) of a tone generated in a preceding cycle. The audio data of the second or subsequent cycle are stored as audio data for loop reproduction, and thus, the stored audio data for loop reproduction will include a residual portion of a tone generated in a preceding cycle. Thus, if the stored audio data for loop reproduction are reproduced repetitively, it is possible to achieve loop reproduction reflecting therein a residual portion of a tone generated in a preceding cycle.

Technique for generating audio data for loop reproduction on the basis of performance data

An electronic music system includes a computer which performs a sequencing function and a remote controller. The remote controller is provided with a start operator and a selection operator. In response to an instruction made by the start operator of the remote controller, the computer or the remote controller adds a new track on a sequencer configured on the computer. The computer or the remote controller then offers options of available different types of tone generators used for the track, and in accordance with a selection made by the selection operator in a state where the available different types of tone generators have been offered, assigns the selected type of tone generator to the track.

Electronic music system

In the case where an automatic reading file composed of plural kinds of detailed parameters stored in a transportable storage device whose attachment is detected has been already read in an apparatus, it is determined whether update, to a currently-read automatic reading file, of an automatic reading file stored in a storage section is carried out or not in accordance with a user's instruction, and is controlled so as to carry out a process. Namely, in the case where an automatic reading file has not been read yet, the automatic reading file stored in the storage section is updated to the currently-read automatic reading file without any condition. On the other hand, if an automatic reading file has been already read, the automatic reading file stored in the storage section may be edited on the basis of it.

Tone signal creating apparatus and method

An electronic musical system by which settings on tone generators can be carried out without discontinuing a user's music production. The electronic musical system is comprised of a musical control apparatus including control operating elements and an electronic musical apparatus including a sequencer having a plurality of tracks, and is configured that various functions of the electronic musical apparatus can be remotely controlled by a user by manipulating the control operating elements of the musical control apparatus. When a tone generator control screen display button which is one of the control operating elements is depressed by the user, a tone generator control screen window for a tone generator assigned to a currently designated track is made active.

Electronic musical system and control method for controlling an electronic musical apparatus of the system

An electronic musical system in which tone generator parameters of each of tone generators respectively assigned to tracks of a sequencer of an electronic musical apparatus can easily be controlled by using a musical control apparatus, while tracks are switched. In the setting of the tone generator parameters of the tone generators assigned to the tracks, setting contents are input by using control operating elements of the musical control apparatus. There are prepared in advance templates in each of which control operating elements are made to correspond to tone generator parameters controlled by the control operating elements, and each tone generator is made in one-to-one correspondence with one of the templates, whereby tone generator parameters of a tone generator assigned to a track currently designated by a user are set by manipulating the control operating elements of the musical control apparatus.
