Ecopots having a large number of holes permeable to the culture solution and air are used for disposing seeding and seedling pots or for planting seedlings and are hung in the space in a house, a bucket for collecting the drips of the culture solution is placed below each pot for collecting the residual solution to thereby prevent the infection by pathogens, and a balancing toy-like hanger hung vertically from a hook hung movably from a shelf pole in the house via a loop clutch, an ecopot hanging chain, a main melon stem attracting cord, a melon fruit hanging cord and so forth are used to render the ecopot hung from the ecopot hanging chain orientation-variable in all directions so that oxygen may be fed abundantly to the rooting zone of the horticultural plant and the plant may receive the sunshine with ease.

Variable and efficient space utilization type cultivation method

An immunoassay element for quantitatively analyzing a macromolecular antigen by determining the change in enzymatic activity caused by a reaction between the macromolecular polymer antigen and an enzyme-labelled antibody. The immunoassay element comprises a substrate layer containing a non-diffusible substrate which forms a diffusible material in the presence of the enzyme, and a reagent layer containing a fragmenting enzyme for further fragmenting the diffusible material into a lower molecular weight product. Also provided is a process for quantitatively analyzing a macromolecular antigen in a sample by the use of the immunoassay element.

An immunoassay element for quantitatively analyzing a ligand by determining the change in enzymatic activity caused by a reaction between the ligand, a linked product of the ligand and a high molecular weight compound and an enzyme-labelled antibody. The immunoassay element comprises a substrate layer containing a non-diffusible substrate which forms a diffusible material in the presence of the enzyme, and a reagent layer containing a fragmenting enzyme for further fragmenting the non-difussible material. Also provided is a process for quantitatively analyzing a ligand contained in a sample by the use of the immunoassay element.

A multi-pH chemiluminescence-based assay method comprising first-stage light production by the activation by cleavage of a phosphatase cleavable dioxetane derivative within a pH range optimal for enzyme catalysis, followed by the second-stage generation of increased light energy from the products of enzyme-catalyzed cleavage of the dioxetane derivative by the adjustment of the pH to a strongly alkaline pH optimal for the generation of light energy. The assay method is suitable for both solution phase and solid state assay formats. Light generation enhancers can be used further to increase the light yield.
