A gas circuit breaker of an embodiment includes a sealed container, a first contact part and a second contact part, an operation mechanism, an insulating nozzle, a pressure accumulator, and an electric field shield. The insulating nozzle is displaced in conjunction with the first contact part in a separation process of the first contact part and the second contact part. The insulating nozzle surrounds arc discharge generated between the first contact part and the second contact part. The electric field shield is attached to the insulating nozzle. The electric field shield has a floating potential during a period of at least part of the separation process. The electric field shield is electrically connected to the second contact part such that the electric field shield has the same potential in a completely open electrode state in which separation between the first contact part and the second contact part is terminated.

Gas circuit breaker

A pair of fixed arc electrodes are arranged facing each other within a sealed container that is filled with arc-extinguishing gas. There are provided: a compression puffer chamber for accumulating pressurized gas that is obtained by elevating the pressure of the arc-extinguishing gas; and an insulated nozzle that directs the pressurized gas towards the arc discharge from the compression puffer chamber. A buffer chamber is provided, in which hot exhaust gas generated by the heat of the arc discharge is temporarily accumulated. A pressurized gas through-flow space is provided, communicating with the compression puffer chamber. In the pressurized gas through-flow space, an opening/closing section prevents inflow of hot exhaust gas by assuming a closed condition during the earlier half of the current interruption period, and in the latter half of the current interruption period the opening/closing sectionis opened to allow flow of pressurized gas.

A temperature measurement device is provided with: light collection means; extraction means; optical intensity calculation means; and temperature measurement means. The light collection means collects the emission spectrum of a measurement subject. The extraction means extracts light having the wavelength of the atomic spectral lines and light having a wavelength in a wavelength region where there are no atomic spectral lines, from the emission spectrum collected by the aforementioned light collection means. The optical intensity calculation means calculates the optical intensities of the light extracted by the aforementioned extraction means. The temperature measurement means calculates the temperature of the aforementioned measurement subject, based on the intensities of the beams calculated by the aforementioned optical intensity calculation means.

Temperature measurement device

A gas-insulated circuit breaker has a sealed container filled with gas; a pair of contacts so constructed as to be connected and separated each other in the sealed container; gas flow generation means for blasting the gas on an arc generated when the contacts are separated, the gas flow generation means including: an accumulation space, pressure increasing means for increasing the pressure of the pressure accumulation space, a gas passage connecting the pressure accumulation space to the arc, and an insulating nozzle that controls the flow of the gas from the pressure accumulation space to the arc; an inside-nozzle insulating member disposed co-axially with the insulating nozzle. The arc is generated in a space between an inner wall section of the insulating nozzle and an outer wall section of the inside-nozzle insulating member, and the gas flows in the space.

Gas-insulated circuit breaker

A pair of electric contacts include a pair of first units which are provided on the surfaces of the end sides of the electric contacts, and generate light having first characteristics at the time of opening and closing of the electric contacts, and a pair of second units which are covered with the first units, and generate light having second characteristics differing from the first characteristics when abrasion of the first units reaches abrasion detection positions due to opening and closing of the electric contacts.

The gas circuit breaker has a configuration such that a stationary contact section and a movable contact section are arranged in an arc-extinguishing gas sealed container, to face each other, and the movable contact section includes a hollow operating rod having an exhaust hole at its rear portion, a movable cylinder arranged around the rod, a hollow movable arc contact provided on the movable cylinder and an insulating nozzle surrounding the movable arc contact. The movable contact section further includes a stationary piston portion insertable/removable inside the movable cylinder, and the space formed by the movable cylinder and the current collecting cylinder fixed to the stationary piston portion is partitioned by a parting plate into a thermal pressure elevation room space at front side and a compression room space at rear side. During the electrode opening operation, the compression room space is compressed by the interaction between the movable cylinder and the piston portion, thus increasing the pressure in the space, and the speed of the movement of the operating rod is slowed down just before the completion of the electrode opening operation.

A cable cutting apparatus incorporating a mechanism for preventing the erroneous cutting of the cables in use, which is both inexpensive and simple. This cable cutting apparatus includes a cutting mechanism having cutting blades for cutting a cable; a core potential recognition unit for recognizing a potential of the cutting blades brought into contact with a core of the cable as one of a potential for a cable in use and a potential for a cable out of use; and a locking mechanism for locking cutting movements of the cutting blades of the cutting mechanism whenever the core potential recognition unit recognizes the potential of the cutting blades in contact with the core of the cable as the potential for a cable in use.
