A liquid-absorbent composite comprises (a) a water-absorbent polymer, (b) a water-insoluble inorganic material and (c) a water-insoluble hydrophilic fibrous material at a weight ratio between (a), (b) and (c) in the range of 100:5-1200:5-1200. It is very useful as the absorbent component for a sanitary napkin and a medical pad.

An apparatus for cleaning stainless steel or aluminum shutter members in a blanked and generally U-shaped form as they are fed continuously comprises a guide rail for guiding the shutter members so that they are transferred in a specified direction and a plurality of cleaning nozzles through which a cleaning solution is sprayed onto the shutter members. A plurality of vessels for supplying the cleaning solution to the Cleaning nozzles are provided along the guide rail and the cleaning solution overflowing a supply vessel downstream the guide rail is allowed to flow into sequentially upstream supply vessels via flow lines. The cleaning solution is recovered from the most upstream supply vessel and, after the cleaning debris is separated out, the cleaning solution is supplied into the most downstream supply vessel. The apparatus enables efficient cleaning of the shutter members.

Method and apparatus for cleaning shutter members

A treating method of a liner material for a magnetic recording medium according to the present invention is a treating method of a liner material which is to be bonded to the inside of a case storing therein a magnetic disk, and is characterized in that at least 0.1 wt %, based on the saturated water content of the liner material, of a liquid having a boiling point of 50.degree. to 200.degree. C. is added to the liner material, and is then dried. A treating apparatus of a liner material for a magnetic recording medium according to the present invention is an apparatus for executing the treating method described above, and comprises a feeder for feeding a belt-like liner material, a wetting device for allowing the liner material fed out from the feeder to contain a liquid, a dryer for drying the liner material containing the liquid, and a winder for taking up the dried liner material, wherein the liner material delivered from the winder passes through the wetting device and the dryer and is taken up by the winder.
