A connector includes a lead part configured to be connected to a board; and a solder sheet having a plate shape. The solder sheet is engaged with and fixed to the lead part with the lead part passing through a hole in the solder sheet. At least one of the lead part and the solder sheet has a structure configured to prevent the solder sheet from coming off the lead part.

A connector includes a plug connector and a jack connector configured to be connected with the plug connector. The plug connector includes a plug ground electrode, and a pair of plug terminals configured to transmit electric signals and having plug terminal connecting parts formed at first ends of the plug terminals. The jack connector includes a jack ground electrode, and a pair of jack terminals configured to transmit electric signals and having jack terminal connecting parts formed at first ends of the jack terminals. The jack terminal connecting parts are configured to be inserted between the plug terminal connecting parts and brought into contact with opposing surfaces of the plug terminal connecting parts when the jack connector is connected with the plug connector.

A differential transmission connector unit is disclosed that includes a first differential transmission connector including a first electrically insulating block body; and first signal contact pairs and first ground contacts arranged alternately in a row in the first block body; and a second differential transmission connector including a second electrically insulating block body; and second signal contact pairs and second ground contacts arranged alternately in a row in the second block body. The first differential transmission connector is connected to the second differential transmission connector with the first signal contact pairs and the second signal contact pairs being in contact with each other and the first ground contacts and the second ground contacts being in contact with each other. One of the contact surface of each first ground contact and the contact surface of the corresponding second ground contact is a rolled surface, the contact surfaces contacting each other.

A connector includes a ground contact formed by a plate-shaped conductor member extending in a longitudinal direction of the connector, and a plurality of signal contact pairs arranged on both sides of the ground contact, with two signal contacts forming each signal contact pair arranged side by side along the longitudinal direction. A first terminal is configured by a plate spring supported by a second insulation part provided in the second connector part. The first terminal has an extreme end part to be engaged with a side surface of the protrusion part when the first and second connector parts are connected to each other. A second terminal for power supply or ground is supported by the second insulation part to contact with the plate-like terminal when the first and second connector parts are connected to each other.

A jack connector includes pairs of jack signal contacts and jack ground contacts arranged alternately, and a plug connector includes pairs of plug signal contacts and plug ground contacts arranged alternately. Respective contacts of each pair of jack signal contacts come into contact with respective contacts of each pair of plug signal contacts, and each jack ground contact comes into contact with each plug ground contact. In a first contact structure, each jack ground contact comes into contact with each plug ground contact at a first position, and in a second contact structure each jack ground contact comes into contact with each plug ground contact at a second position apart from the first position along an extending direction of the plug ground contact.

Connector device

A connector for balanced transmission includes a block member having input and output contact pairs formed on front and back surfaces thereof, and a relay wiring substrate having front and back surfaces with a ground layer in between, on which surfaces input contact connecting pads, output contact connecting pads, input wiring patterns, and output wiring patterns are formed. Each input contact pair includes a pair of contact parts formed on the front or back surface of the block member and a pair of lead parts connected to the input contact connecting pads formed on the front or back surface of the relay wiring substrate. Each output contact pair includes a pair of contact parts formed on the front or back surface of the block member and a pair of lead parts connected to the output contact connecting pads formed on the front or back surface of the relay wiring substrate.

A connector includes a plate-shaped contact; and an insulator including a fixing hole into which the contact is pressed to be fixed. At least a part of the fixing hole has a cross section in a cruciform shape.

Connector and manufacturing method of the same

A connector module that is mounted on a motherboard and is configured to realize connection between a cable side connector and the motherboard is disclosed. The connector module includes a printed circuit board, plural substrate side connectors that are mounted on the front surface of the printed circuit board and arranged into plural rows with differing heights, and a mounting connector that is mounted on the rear surface of the printed circuit board. At least one of the substrate side connectors is connected to the cable side connector. The mounting connector is engaged with and connected to a motherboard side connector that is mounted on the motherboard. The printed circuit board includes a pattern that is configured to realize electrical connection between the substrate side connectors and the mounting connector.

A plug-side connector to be connected to a jack-side connector is provided that includes a conductive housing configured to surround an electromagnetically shielded projecting part of the jack-side connector upon the plug-side connector being connected to the jack-side connector; and a leaf spring member for a plug-side electromagnetic shield, the leaf spring member including multiple conductive leaf spring pieces arranged at a pitch enabling formation of the electromagnetic shield, the leaf spring member being provided to the housing so that the leaf spring pieces are arranged in a width direction of the housing on the interior side of the housing. The leaf spring pieces are configured to come into elastic contact with a surface of the projecting part of the jack-side connector upon the plug-side connector being connected to the jack-side connector.

A high speed transmission connector including several signal contact pairs arranged in a parallel array, each including a pair of signal contacts constituting a balanced transmission line; several ground contacts, each being arranged between two signal contact pairs arranged in the parallel array; and an electro-insulating body supporting the signal contact pairs and the ground contacts. Each signal contact is provided with a contacting section at one longitudinal end for conductive contact with a corresponding signal contact of a counterpart connector, a board connecting section at another longitudinal end for connection with a conductor on a circuit board, and an attaching section between the contacting section and the board connecting section for an attachment to the body. All of the board connecting sections of the signal contacts are disposed along a first lateral surface of the body. The signal contacts of the signal contact pairs are individually covered, at least partially, by materials having dielectric constants different from each other, in certain regions defined between board connecting sections and attaching sections.
