A container position measuring method using a microwave sensorwhich emits microwaveand receives reflected wave of the microwave, wherein a position of a corner portion of a transportation container is measured by reflected wave from the corner portion. The microwaveis not influenced by weather and color of a transportation container. Therefore it is possible to reliably measure position data of the transportation container. The microwavedoes not easily receive the influence of weather and color of the transportation container. The present invention provides a position measuring method capable of stably measure position data of the transportation container.

A drive device for a sewing machine which varies the speed of the auxiliary motor. In a sewing machine drive device, the rotation of a clutch motor is transmitted through a pulley and an endless belt to the spindle of the sewing machine. The rotation of an auxiliary motor is transmitted through a driving sprocket, a timing belt and a driven sprocket and through the pulley to the spindle of the sewing machine. The drive device includes rotation varying means which varies the rotation of the auxiliary motor in response to the variation in diameter of the driving pulley of the clutch motor.

In this invention, an automatic adjusted light switching circuit which can feed an illuminating light to an endoscope is provided with a light source emitting an illuminating light to illuminate an object. The illuminating light has the light amount controlled by an iris driving circuit. An adjusted light controlling circuit for a still camera outputs a control signal controlling the iris driving circuit with a photometric signal. An adjusted light controlling circuit for a video camera outputs to the iris driving circuit a control signal for making a video signal of the most suitable brightness from a video signal obtained from a solid state imaging device imaging the object image. Either one of the control signals output by the adjusted light controlling circuit for the still camera and the adjusted light controlling circuit for the video camera is slected by a switching circuit and is input into the iris driving circuit.

Image enhancers respectively enhance the edges of the images of the color signals produced by the signal treating circuit. Endoscopic photographing apparatus

Disclosed is a control circuit which is connected to a video endoscope, having a CCD in the distal end thereof. The control circuit supplies driving clock pulses to the CCD, and converts a picture element signal pulses from the CCD into a continuous image signal, by clamping, or sampling and holding, the signal pulses. The converted signals are further subjected to video processing. A scope discrimination resistor is contained in the endoscope, in the vicinity of a connector thereof, which connects the endoscope and the control circuit. The resistance value of the resistor depends on the length of the endoscope. When the endoscope is connected to the control circuit, the resistor is connected in series with a constantcurrent source in a scope discrimination circuit. The discrimination circuit discriminates the scope length by detecting the resistance value of the resistor as a terminal voltage. The waveform of the driving clock pulses for the CCD is modified in accordance with the result of the discrimination, and the timing for clamping, or sampling and holding, the picture-element signal pulses from the CCD (10), is determined by the discrimination result.

Control circuit for video endoscope

A light source for an endoscope is disclosed for illuminating a subject, the image from the subject being received through a leading end of the endoscope, and being projected by an objective lens onto a solid state imaging device. Light from a light source lamp is projected onto the subject sequentially with the light transmitted through three color transmitting filters. A reflector is provided to reflect light from the light source lamp in a parallel light beam. A convex lens system for converging the parallel light from the reflector. Light from said source lamp is transmitted through a light guide to the subject. A first and second lens systems are positioned between the input end of the light guide and the convex lens system for converging the light onto the input end of the light guide. The light guide is disposed within an insert member of said endoscope. The lens systems reduce the sectional area of the light beam and restrict the included angle of the light beam. A rotary color filter is provided in said light beam and includes interference filters having high heat resistance for passing light of only a specific wavelength, to provide different colors of illuminating light to the subject.
