A moving device () capable of being operated easily and safely to move a person between various types of beds and chairs by supporting the femoral region and backbone of a person to be moved instead of by suspending the person to be moved by a belt or supporting the axillas and knees of the person, comprising a body frame () having a pair of right and left front wheels () and rear wheels () and having an open rear side, a column () erected on the body frame, a pair of right and left side seat parts () provided on a pair of right and left side arms () fixed to the column, a handrail frame body () fixed to the column and having an open rear side, a backbone supporting part () disposed at the rear of the seat parts, and a lifting mechanism capable of lifting the seat parts vertically, wherein the arms are formed in a crank-shape and connected pivotally to the column through longitudinal shafts positioned at the front of the knees of the person to be moved, and the seat parts are rotated eccentrically from the outside upper side to the inside lower side so as to insert the seat parts into the lower side of the femoral region while bypassing the knee parts of the person to be moved.

A posture change-over device is designed so that the posture of the head supporting frame when the back supporting frame is raised and pivoted can be selected from two postures; a posture where the head supporting frame is kept horizontal and a posture where the head supporting frame and the back supporting frame form one plane. Therefore, in the latter case, the bed can be used in the same manner as previous beds capable of raising the upper body, and in the former case, a user can raise his/her upper body without dropping the pillow or articles even when he/she raises his/her back.

Rotary bed

A rotary type bed which moves from a condition that a physically handicapped person or an aged person is lying down to a condition that the person raises the upper half of the body thereof and sits sideward, or from the condition of sitting sideward to the condition of lying down. The bed is divided into a front bed section and a rear bed section, and provided with a pivoting mechanism to pivot naturally and reversely when viewed from above the front bed section with respect to the rear bed section.

A rotary type bed which moves from a condition that a physically handicapped person or an aged person is laying down to a condition that the person raises the upper half of the body thereof and sits sideward, or from the condition of sitting sideward to the condition of laying down. The bed is divided into a front bed section and a rear bed section, and provided with a pivoting mechanism to pivot naturally and reversely when viewed from above the front bed section with respect to the rear bed section.

A wheeled stretcher for transferring and carrying a person lying on a bed, such as an invalid, is shown wherein the height of the stretcher is low enough to go under the bed. A lifting device narrower than the width of the wheeled stretcher is provided in the middle but at a position offcenter in a transversal direction of the wheeled stretcher which can be moved in both longitudinal and transversal directions. A bed frame is attached to the top of the lifting device at approximately the center of the wheeled stretcher, and a bed mat is placed on the bed frame. The surface of the mat is covered with a transfer sheet which can be moved across the bed mat. To transfer a person lying on a bed onto the wheeled stretcher, the stretcher is placed beside the bed, the bed frame is once lifted over the bed, then is lowered onto the bed. Then the transfer sheet is moved to a side of the lying invalid person who is then put onto the sheet. The sheet is then moved to the original position at the center of the bed mat. With the lifting device which moves the bed frame up and down positioned to either the right or left side, the bed frame can be overlapped deeply with the bed.

Stretcher

A movable bed vehicle which has a truck having rolling wheels with low centroid, a post erected at the longitudinal intermediate position at one side of lateral direction of the vehicle, an elevator provided adjustably at the post in such an elevationally movable manner, a bed frame having a longitudinal length at the elevator and a bend mattress, and mounted directly above the truck, a normally and reverely rotatably rotational shaft provided along the longitudinal direction of the bed frame for rotating by a handle the bed frame in a space of elevator side, a plurality of strips provided at a plurality of longitudinal positions of the shaft for towing the movable sheet on the mattress to the elevator side by normally taking up the strips, and another strips for towing the movable sheet until the elevator is extended to the opposite side from the mattress by the revere rotation. Thus, a physically handicapped patient who cannot move on the bed can be shifted at his sleeping position by one nurse or attendant, shifted on the bed mattress of the movable bed vehicle merely by operating the handle in an extremely simple and rapid work.
