A valve, which is rotated about a rotational axis, includes a valve outer peripheral portion. The valve outer peripheral portion has a valve inflow port for supplying fluid to a flow passage of the valve outer peripheral portion and valve outflow ports for discharging the fluid from the flow passage. The valve outflow ports include: a main outflow port which is configured to communicate with a whole of a seat opening of a valve seat; and a plurality of intermediate outflow ports, each of which is configured to communicate with a portion of the seat opening. An axial dimension of each intermediate outflow port, which is measured in an axial direction of the rotational axis, is smaller than an axial dimension of the seat opening, which is measured in the axial direction. The axial dimension of each intermediate outflow port is progressively changed in a circumferential direction.

Valve device

A housing has a housing main body and an outlet port. The housing main body includes a cylindrical housing inner wall that defines an internal space therein. The outlet port fluidly connects the internal space and an outside of the housing main body to each other. The valve has a valve body rotatable about an rotation axis along a rotation axis of the cylindrical housing inner wall. The valve is configured to selectively open and close the outlet port depending on a rotation position of the valve. The housing inner wall is formed such that a distance between the housing inner wall and the axis of the housing inner wall varies in a circumferential direction.

A sensor device includes a pipe, a sensor connector, a sensor, a sealing member, a first clip insertion window, a second clip insertion window, a clip, and at least one cutout portion. The pipe defines a fluid passage. The sensor connector defines a sensor insertion hole. The sensor detects a physical quantity of a fluid flowing through the fluid passage and includes a large diameter portion, a small diameter portion, and a step portion. The second clip insertion window is located opposite to the first clip insertion window relative to an axis of the sensor insertion hole. The clip is inserted into the first clip insertion window and the second clip insertion window to fix the sensor in the sensor insertion hole by holding both sides of the small diameter portion.

A cooling water control valve device includes a housing and a valve. The housing includes an inside space, an attachment surface, at least one inlet port, and at least one outlet port. The attachment surface is in contact with an outer wall of the engine. The valve is disposed in the inside space to control communication between the at least one inlet port and the at least one outlet port by rotating. The housing includes a housing body that defines the inside space therein and a bypass passage forming member that defines at least a portion of a bypass passage. The bypass passage bypasses the valve and fluidly connects the at least one inlet port and the inside space. The housing is attached to the engine such that the attachment surface comes into contact with the outer wall of the engine.

Cooling water control valve device

A cooling-water control valve as a valve device includes a housing and a valve member. The housing has an inlet port and multiple outlet ports, each of which connects an inner space of the housing to an outside. The valve member is rotatably provided in the inner space of the housing and connects the inlet port to the multiple outlet ports or disconnects the inlet port from the outlet ports depending on a rotational position of the valve member. The inlet port is communicated to the inner space of the housing independently of the rotational position of the valve member. At least a part of one outlet port overlaps with one or more than one of the other outlet ports, when viewed them in an axial direction of the valve member.

A cooling water control valve device includes a housing and a valve. The housing includes a planar attachment surface, a first inlet port, a second inlet port, and at least one outlet port. The first inlet port and the second inlet port are open on the planar attachment surface. The housing is attached to the engine such that the first inlet port and the second inlet port are fluidly connected to a first outlet and a second outlet, respectively, and the planar attachment surface comes into contact with an outer wall of either one of an engine block or an engine head of the engine.
