An automated analysis instrument operates to detect inadequate dispensation of a fluidic substance on a tray. The instrument includes an image capturing device to capture an image of at least a portion of the tray including a receptacle portion and a surrounding portion around the receptacle portion. The instrument then identifies the surrounding portion of the at least the portion of the tray in the image, evaluates color components of the image corresponding to the surrounding portion of the at least the portion of the tray, and determines whether the fluidic substance is present on the surrounding portion of the at least the portion of the tray based on at least one of the color components.

Substance dispense evaluation system

Using a microplate having wells for the dispensing and reaction of a sample including blood and a reagent, an automatic analyzer captures an image of whether reactions have occurred inside the wells and performs analysis, the automatic analyzer comprising: a section for, with captured images obtained by capturing images of the inside of the wells corresponding to categories, calculating photometric parameters of the images, evaluating whether a measurement result based on the images is negative for each test, and analyzing characteristic information of the sample; a section for matching and storing characteristic information of samples and measurement results; a section for extracting a photometric parameter of a measurement result judged as negative; and a section for calculating a difference between maximum and minimum values of an extracted photometric parameter, determining whether a measurement is valid using the difference, and adding a result of the determination to characteristic information.

Automatic analyzer

The present invention provides an agglutination judgment method includes a first step of collecting data of a transmitted light intensity from each of measuring points included in a predetermined region of the reaction pattern, a second step of calculating a parameter representing the dispersion of a transmitted light intensity in the region, and a third step of judging the agglutination or non-agglutination by comparing the parameter thus calculated with a predetermined reference value.
