Provided is a method for producing a Ni- or Ti-based alloy product, the method capable of reliably locally cooling and effectively cooling. The method includes the steps: heating and holding a hot working material of a Ni- or Ti-based alloy after hot forging or hot ring rolling at a solution treatment temperature to obtain a material held in a heated state, and cooling the material held in a heated state to obtain a solution-treated material. The cooling step includes carrying out local cooling by contacting a cooling member with a part of a surface of the material held in a heated state.

An image forming apparatus includes a controller that performs a first adjusting operation and thereafter performs a second adjusting operation. A method for producing a Ni- or Ti-based alloy product includes preliminarily processing a hot working material of a Ni- or Ti-based alloy after hot working into a predetermined shape; heating and holding the material at a solution treatment temperature to obtain a material held in a heated state; and cooling the material to obtain a solution-treated material. The cooling step includes placing a flow path-forming member having a space for forming a flow path for a fluid on a surface of the material held in a heated state to form a fluid flow path defined by the surface of the material held in a heated state and an inner surface of the space of the flow path-forming member; and allowing a fluid to flow in the fluid flow path so that the fluid in the flow path locally cools a part of the surface of the material.

Method for producing nickel-based alloy product or titanium-based alloy product

Provided are a Ni-based heat resistant superalloy for aircraft engine cases excellent in high-temperature characteristic such as tensile characteristics and low-cycle fatigue characteristics in a high-temperature range and also excellent in workability, and an aircraft engine case formed of the same. The Ni-based heat resistant superalloy has composition containing, by mass, Co: 4.0 to 11.0%, Cr: 12.0 to 17.0%, Al: 2.0 to 4.0%, Ti: 2.0 to 4.0%, Al+Ti: 4.6 to 6.7%, Mo: more than 5.5 to 10.0%, W: more than 0 to 4.0%, B: 0.001 to 0.040%, C: 0.02 to 0.06%, Zr: 0 to 0.05%, Mg: 0 to 0.005%, P: 0 to 0.01%, Nb: 0 to 1.0%, Ta: 0 to 1.0%, and Fe: 0 to 2.0%, and the balance of Ni with inevitable impurities, and is suitable for aircraft engine cases.

Ni-based super-heat-resistant alloy for aircraft engine cases, and aircraft engine case formed of same

A toner includes toner particle containing at least a strontium titanate particle on the surface of the toner particle, and the toner is a water-washed toner from which strontium titanate particle desorbable by water washing are removed by water washing. The water-washed toner contains the strontium titanate particle having a number average particle diameter of primary particle (D1) of 10 nm or more and 150 nm or less, and when the distribution of an Sr element in the water-washed toner in the depth direction is determined, (i) the Sr element abundance on the outermost surface x satisfying 0.00&#x3c;x&#x2264;0.80, and (ii) the difference between x and xp 'xp&#x2212;x' satisfying 0.00&#x3c;xp&#x2212;x&#x2264;0.95, where xp is the maximum peak value (atomic %) of the Sr element abundance in the region from the outermost surface to 50 nm.

Toner

An image forming apparatus in which occurrence of an image failure in association with contamination caused by an external additive, such as silica, adhering to a charging unit is suppressed. The image forming apparatus is configured to charge an image bearing member through use of the charging unit, and uses toner having, on a surface thereof, strontium titanate particles and silica particles having predetermined physical properties.
