An apparatus for separating fibers from a fiber aggregate comprises a hollow cylindrical apparatus housing defining therein a dissolving chamber. A partition is disposed in the internal space of the apparatus housing and forms the bottom of the dissolving chamber. The partition defines a plurality of through openings, through which fibers separated from the aggregate passes. The apparatus housing has an aggregate inlet to introduce the aggregate to be dissolved with pressurized air. The pressurized air carrying the aggregates is discharged toward the partition and forms swirl flow in the dissolving chamber. By the swirl flow of the air, the aggregate flows to collide onto the partition with an impact. This impact serves as an energy for causing dispersion or dissolving of the aggregate. The partition is preferably formed with elastically or resiliently deformable material for absorbing impact upon the collision of the aggregate thereonto so as not to cause destroying of each individual fiber. Further preferably, a contact plate is suspended on the elastically or resiliently deformable partition. The contact plate opposes the aggregate inlet so that the aggregate introduced into the dissolving chamber will collide onto the contact plate.

Apparatus for separating fiber from fiber aggregate

In a shift converter for catalytically converting carbon monoxide and steam to carbon dioxide and hydrogen through exothermic reaction in a phosphoric acid fuel cell apparatus, the heat generated at the shift reaction is absorbed in vaporization of a liquid in a vessel provided with a reactor tube as a heat source. The catalytic exothermic reaction is carried out with cooling in the present invention, and thus it is not necessary to provide coolers at a plurality of stages in contrast to the conventional shift converter.

According to a solid-state imager of this invention, in case where a plurality of color filters are disposed on a semiconductor body for the solid-state imager including a plurality of photosensitive regions and where the color filter of a third color is constructed by the overlapping between filter members of a first color and a second color, that one of the filter members which has a spectral transmittance substantially transmitting light for exposure for use in forming the filter members is arranged as a lower layer closer to a substrate of the semiconductor body. Even when the filter members are formed by the exposure process, a solid-state imager having good characteristics can be manufactured.

A color solid-state imager comprises a semiconductor body over which are successively laminated a predetermined number of filter layers of any desired shape having predetermined spectral characteristics and, laminated on the filter layers, a predetermined number of layers composed of a transparent, organic high molecular material which is sensitive to radiation, the semiconductor substrate having at least a detector portion composed of an array of a plurality of optical detector elements. The method of making color solid-state imagers can be simplified by at least using the radiation-sensitive high molecular material for the intermediate layers or protection layers which are used for forming a laminate construction of color-decomposing filters. Further, in mounting the color-decomposing filters on the semiconductor substrate, it is particularly preferred to form beforehand a film of an organic high molecular material.

Color solid-state imager and method of making the same

A chemically digestive agent for releasing photoresist films comprising hydrogen peroxide and sulfamic acid is particularly suitable for the production of the fluorescent screen of a black matrix color television image receiving tube in that it has a strong releasing action for various photoresist films and low corrosiveness for machinery and appliances. The addition of a fixed amount of iron ion can further improve the characteristics of the chemically digestive agent.

The present invention affords a process for forming a pattern having a surface area substantially equal to or smaller than area of apertures of shadow-mask through which beams pass on a photoresist film, which contains an acrylamidediacetoneacrylamide copolymer and a water-soluble aromatic bisazide compound, by exposing said photoresist film to light through a mask having the pattern and then developing the film. The use of said photoresist film for the preparation of a phosphor screen of a color picture tube of a black matrix or black stripe type does not require a special technique such as post-etching of a shadow mask and makes it possible to form a three primary color phosphor pattern having a surface area substantially equal to or smaller than the area of apertures of the shadow mask through which lightbeams pass, without mutual 'bridging' between phosphor dots. Thus, an excellent phosphor screen of a color picture tube of a black matrix or black stripe type can be prepared.
