A valve timing control apparatus includes: a rear plate; a housing fixed to the rear plate; and a vane rotor which is able to rotate relative to the housing. The vane rotor includes a rotor and a vane extending from the rotor outward in a radial direction to divide an oil pressure chamber of the housing into an advance chamber and a retard chamber. The vane has an axial end surface adjacent to the rear plate and a radially outer surface. A first chamfer part is defined at a connection between the axial end surface and the radially outer surface of the vane so as to reduce a surface pressure applied from the rear plate to the vane.

Valve timing control apparatus

A fluid-pressure-operated valve timing controller has a control valve that is disposed in a vane rotor and a camshaft. The control valve has a sleeve and a spool moving in an axial direction in the sleeve. The sleeve includes: a valve part held by the vane rotor; a screw part coaxially secured to the camshaft in a state where an axial tension is generated; and a connector part that connects the valve part and the screw part with each other in the axial direction. A strength or rigidity of the connector part relative to the axial tension is lower than that of the valve part.

Fluid-pressure-operated valve timing controller

A springless check valve enables flow of hydraulic fluid from a supply port toward a corresponding one of an advancing port and a retarding port in a connection passage upon lifting of a valve member from a valve seat and limits flow of the hydraulic fluid from the corresponding one of the advancing port and the retarding port toward the supply port upon seating of the valve member against the valve seat. In a synchronously rotatable member, a drain passage is circumferentially displaced from the drain port, and an advancing passage is placed at a corresponding circumferential position, which coincides with a circumferential position of the advancing port. Furthermore, a retarding passage is placed at a corresponding circumferential position, which coincides with a circumferential position of the retarding port.

A valve timing adjuster includes a housing member, a vane rotor, and a seal plate. A first housing segment of the housing member receives the vane rotor therein. A second housing segment of the housing member faces with an opening of the first housing segment. The seal plate includes a base part and a resilient part. The base part is held by the first and second housing segments therebetween. The resilient part is in press-contact with the end surface of the vane rotor within a predetermined angular range. The resilient part, the second housing segment, and a camshaft define therebetween a pressure chamber. The resilient part has a pressurized oil introduction passage that provides communication between the pressure chamber and only one of advance and retard hydraulic chambers.

Valve timing adjuster

A valve enables and disables communication of a bypass passage, which extends from a fluid supply passage and bypasses at least one fluid control valve, to at least one of a retarding passage and an advancing passage connected to a valve timing mechanism. An ECU controls the valve to enable the communication of the bypass passage to the at least one of the retarding passage and the advancing passage when a temperature is equal to or less than a predetermined temperature. The ECU controls the valve to disable the communication of the bypass passage to the at least one of the retarding passage and the advancing passage when the temperature is higher than the predetermined temperature.

Valve timing control system

A valve timing controller includes a housing which is biasedly assembled in such a manner that the housing is previously moved in a direction where a rotor knocks the housing. A camshaft rotatably extends through a through-hole provided in a sprocket and is engaged with a camshaft-inserting hole provided in the rotor. An inner diameter of the camshaft-inserting hole is lager than an inner diameter of the through-hole provided in the sprocket in order to prevent the camshaft-inserting hole from overlapping the through-hole.

Valve timing controller

A space, which is formed between an outer side wall of a vane rotor and an inner side wall of a housing facing the outer side wall, in the inside direction of diameter is formed smaller than the space in the outside direction of diameter, before the vane rotor is fastened to a camshaft by a bolt.

Variable valve timing controller

A projected portion is provided on an outer wall surface of the vane. The projected portion projects toward the inner wall surface of the circumferential wall in a rotational direction. When the inner wall surface and the outer wall surface are contact with each other at the projected portion, a center point of a force applied to the projected portion is located outside of an contacting area where the bolt is threaded into the circumferential wall in order that the circumferential wall is connected with the side wall by the bolt. The circumferential wall can be bent in the rotational direction by the force. Thereby, even if the vane beats the inner wall surface, the shoe-housing hardly deviates in the rotational direction to restrict the bolt from loosing.

A gaseous fuel filling structure includes a coupler connected to a gaseous fuel supply system, a gaseous fuel cylinder that stores a gaseous fuel at a high pressure, a fuel dissipation preventing device that prevents dissipation of the gaseous fuel, and a switching device that is selectively placed in a first state in which the coupler is connected to the gaseous fuel cylinder and disconnected from the fuel dissipation preventing device, or a second state in which the coupler is connected to the fuel dissipation preventing device. The switching device includes a member(s) for preventing back flow of the gaseous fuel from the gaseous fuel cylinder toward the coupler.
