A composition which is a blend of a specified condensate obtained by reacting polyalkylenepolyamine with an fatty acid and a modified polyolefin resin having carboxyl groups at a specified proportion. In preparing the heating type paving material comprising various aggregates, bitumen as base and the composition, the composition is added to bitumen in an amount of 0.05-5.0 weight %. The heating type paving material obtained has superior in peel resistant effect between bitumen and aggregates.

Method of preparing heating type paving material as well as composition for heating type paving material to be used for the method

A coal - water slurry at high concentration which has a low viscosity and favorable flowing property is prepared by using a surface active substance prepared by sulfonating and oxidizing at least one of the starting materials selected from distilled petroleum oils, petroleum pitches, asphalts, distilled coal oils, coal pitches or coals, applying condensation as required and then neutralizing the thus obtained product with alkalis.

Process for producing coal-water slurry at high concentration

Cationic surface active agents in which nitrogen atoms are attached to both ends of a long-chain alkylene group or polyoxyalkylene group having at least 6-24 carbon atoms in the molecule, at least one of said nitrogen atoms constituting a quaternary ammonium structure, have also at least one hydroxyphenethyl group bonded to at least one of the two nitrogen atoms. These cationic surface active agents can serve as an accelerator which catalytically promotes changes in a chemical and/or physical change process involving a hydrolyzing, deacidizing or extracting operation using an aqueous solution of an alkaline metal hydroxide or an alkaline earth metal hydroxide.
