The invention provides: an aggregate comprising a core made of an elastic material and a surfacing material adhered thereon by use of a resin; a manufacturing process of the novel aggregate comprising such steps as mixing 100 parts by weight of a core made of an elastic material with 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a resin to cause the resin to stick uniformly on the surface of the core, and thereafter, contacting and mixing the core with 1 or more part by weight of a surfacing material having one-tenth or less average particle diameter of that of the core; and a resin mortar mixing the novel aggregate, a resin and preferably other additives.

A water-permeable material having good chemical resistance, water resistance and weatherability and in which cracks do not form in the material. The composition for forming a water-permeable material includes aggregate grains, a polysulfide-modified epoxy resin and a curing agent for the polysulfide-modified epoxy resin.

A concrete article having a mixture layer comprising concrete and a polysulfide-modified epoxy resin as an intermediate layer between a concrete body and a cured layer of a polysulfide-modified epoxy resin, which concrete article is excellent in corrosion resistance, durability and workability, and shows good adhesion to the concrete body and to the cured layer of the polysulfide-modified epoxy resin. This concrete article can be produced by applying a coating composition containing the polysulfide-modified epoxy resin to the concrete body in an uncured state.

The present invention relates to a graphic arts film obtained by forming a toner image on a light-transmitting base sheet having a toner-adhesive and ink-repellent coating layer, then fixing the toner image and applying ink onto the surface of the base sheet to thereby selectively enhance the optical density of the toner image area on the coating layer, and a method of preparing the same. The present invention permits easy and inexpensive production of a graphic arts film having a sufficiently enhanced optical density, free from pin-holes and capable of being retouched with respect to the image formed thereon.

Dry planographic printing plate

A waterless planographic printing plate having toner image areas of ink receptivity and non-image areas of ink releasability is provided, which plate has a substrate and an overlying layer coated on the substrate. The overlying layer is predominantly comprised of a reaction product of 50 to 99% by weight of a polymeric material having, on the average, at least two hydroxyl groups per molecule and exhibiting a high adhesion to the ink-receptive toner, and 1 to 50% by weight of an organopolysiloxane having hydroxyl end groups. The overlying layer preferably consists of a relatively thin surface layer substantially composed of the organopolysiloxane, and a relatively thick inner layer sandwiched between the surface layer and the substrate and having an islands-in-sea heterophase structure composed of the organopolysiloxane islands substantially uniformly dispersed in the sea of the polymeric material. The relatively thin surface layer has holes through which the inner layer predominantly composed of the polymeric material is exposed.
