A heat transfer material for heating and heating unit and heating apparatus using the same material, wherein the heat transfer material comprises a substrate 2 and an electrical insulating layer 4 as a first layer, an electrically conductive layer 5 entirely or partially provided as a second layer, and a heat insulating layer 6 as a third layer, all of which are formed in turn on the substrate 2, whereby a heat transfer material for heating which is capable of insulating a substance to be heated and highly heat efficiency uniformly heating and which has rapid thermal response is obtained.

A hollow fiber filter device has a filter casing which is partitioned by a horizontal member into a filtered liquid chamber and a filtering chamber and a plurality of filter modules are suspended downwardly from the horizontal member. Each of the modules includes a plurality of hollow fibers having upper ends open to the filtered liquid chamber and also having lower ends open to a liquid collecting chamber which is sealed from the filtering chamber and is arranged to communicate with the filtered liquid chamber by way of a conduit so that the full length of the fiber is utilized for filtration.

Hollow fiber filter device

A hollow fiber filter device has a plurality of fiber filter modules suspended therein, the filter module being improved in rigidity and arranged to be easily handled while minimizing the risk of being damaged by securing the opposite ends of hollow fibers of the hollow fiber bundle to two bundle plates and by extending a central pipe from one of the bundle plates through the other of the bundle plates, the module being encased within a protecting hollow cylinder with perforated walls.

A process is disclosed for volume reduction and solidification of a radioactive waste solution mainly composed of sodium borate and discharged from a pressurized water reactor. The process comprises adding to said radioactive waste solution, ZnO or a mixture of ZnO with Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 and/or CaO, and then subjecting the resulting mixture to dehydration and melting to produce a vitrified solid solution. Said process is safe and reliable. A vitrified solid solution produced by said process is safe and stable.

Process for volume reduction and solidification of a radioactive sodium

An apparatus is disclosed for producing a vitric solid solution comprising mainly the solid content of a radioactive waste solution of sodium borate discharged from a pressurized water reactor, the apparatus comprising a waste solution feed tank equipped with a hopper for stabilizing agent in water, a thin film evaporator, a heating type dehydrator, a powder drier connected with a microwave generator through a microwave guide tube and equipped with a stirrer, and a melting furnace connected with a microwave generator through a microwave guide tube, the above units being combined by pipes or a powder-transferring means.
