A rotary cutting tool including a polycrystalline diamond material of the invention includes: a tool body rotated about an axis with a carbide substrate made of cemented carbide and a flute provided at a tip portion thereof; a PCD layer sintered integrally with the carbide substrate, provided on an inside face of the flute facing in a rotation direction; and a cutting edge provided on the PCD layer to have the inside face as a rake face, in which a margin portion continuous with a rear side of the flute in the rotation direction is formed on an outer periphery of the tip portion, the cutting edge is formed at a ridge portion of the rake face, and a thickness of the PCD layer is &#x2153; to 1 times a width of the margin portion.

Rotary cutting tool including polycrystalline diamond material

A cutting tool including a cutting edge part made of cBN sintered material bonded through a brazing material for bonding and a cutting tool body made of WC-based cemented carbide is provided. In the cutting tool, the cutting edge part made of cBN sintered material and the cutting tool body made of WC-based cemented carbide are brazed by using a blazing material for bonding including: 35-40% of Ti in a mass ratio; 35-40% of Zr in a mass ratio; 5-15% of Ni in a mass ratio; and the Cu balance including inevitable impurities.

Cutting tool made of cubic boron nitride-based sintered material

A cutting tool made of cubic boron nitride-based sintered material that exhibits excellent chipping resistance and fracturing resistance in the intermittent cutting work on high hardness steel is provided. In the cutting tool, the average size of the cubic boron nitride particles is 0.5 to 8 &#x3bc;m. A portion of the cubic boron nitride particles are coated with aluminum oxide films having an average thickness of 10 to 90 nm on surfaces thereof, and a rift is partially formed in the aluminum oxide film. The average rift formation ratio satisfies the formula 0.02&#x2266;h/H&#x2266;0.08, wherein h is a breadth of the rift of the aluminum oxide film and H is a girth of the particle of cubic boron nitride.

A cutting tip for a drilling tool includes a cemented carbide cutting base, a diamond element supported by the cutting base, and a bonding layer formed between the cutting base and the diamond element in order to bond them. The bonding layer includes diffusion layers and in which one or two or more metals selected from a group consisting of Fe, Ni, Co, Ti, Zr, W, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, and Hf diffuses into at least one of the diamond or the cement carbide.
