A battery terminal includes a terminal main body and a protector to be mounted to the terminal main body, wherein the terminal main body includes an operating section for clamping and tightening the battery post, and the protector includes a movable section provided with a contact section to be brought into contact with the upper surface of the battery main body, and a displacement section to be freely displaced between a covering position for covering the operating section and a retracted position with an external force applied on the contact section, wherein in the retracted position, the displacement section is retracted from the covering position, and wherein the displacement section is displaced to the retracted position by pressing the contact section against the upper surface of the battery main body so that the access to the operating section is allowed.

Battery terminal

A crimping terminal includes a conductor crimping portion having a U-shaped cross section. The conductor crimping portion includes a base plate portion and a pair of conductor caulking pieces. On an inner surface of the conductor crimping portion, a conductor is disposed, being exposed to a distal end of an aluminum electric wire. The pair of conductor caulking pieces, extending upwardly from both side edges in a longitudinal direction of the base plate portion, are bent inwardly so as to wrap the conductor of the aluminum electric wire to caulk the conductor such that the conductor is in close contact with the inner surface of the base plate portion. On the inner surface of the conductor crimping portion, a protruding indent is provided so as to extend continuously.

Crimping terminal

An electric wire with terminal includes: a waterproof seal sleeve that is attached to a tip of a conductor part of a covered electric wire from which a covering section is removed; an inner terminal that is compressed in an area containing a boundary between the conductor part and the covering section of the covered electric wire; and an outer terminal which includes an electric connection section connected to a mating terminal, a compression section having a front part, a center part and a rear part, and an interconnecting section that connects the electric connection section with the compression section. The front part of the compression section compresses the waterproof seal sleeve, the center part of the compression section compresses the conductor part, and the rear part of the compression section compresses a front part of the inner terminal.

A crimping portion includes a first crimping portion including a conductor crimping portion and a conductor enveloping portion that is integrally connected to the conductor crimping portion and envelops a portion of a conductor in the vicinity of an insulating covering portion, and a second crimping portion that is separate from the first crimping portion and crimped to the insulating covering portion in the vicinity of the conductor. A gap between the first crimping portion and the second crimping portion is sealed with a sealer, and thus the first crimping portion and the second crimping portion are integrally interconnected to each other.

A conductive metal terminal includes a conductor holding part that holds a conductor of a electrical cable at a distal end side of the conductive metal terminal and a sheath holding part that holds a sheath at a proximal end side of the conductive metal terminal. The conductor holding part includes a bottom plate on which the conductor of the aluminum electrical cable is placed and a pair of conductor crimping pieces. The sheath holding part includes a bottom plate adjacent to the bottom plate of the conductor holding part and a pair of sheath crimping pieces. The conductor holding part further includes an indent formed in a semi-cylindrical shape and extending from one of the conductor holding part to the other of the conductor holding part. The conductor holding part further includes circular-shaped serrations which are closer to the distal end side than the indent.

Crimping structure of terminal to electrical cable

An electric wire with terminal is provided to include: an inner terminal including a crimp part that is crimped to compress a conductor part of a covered electric wire; an outer terminal that is compressed to the inner terminal by a front part thereof and is compressed to the covered electric wire by a rear part thereof; and a waterproof seal sleeve that is attached to a tip of the conductor part of the covered electric wire, wherein the seal sleeve is crimped by the crimp part of the inner terminal.

Method for crimping terminal to aluminum electric wire

A coaxial cable connector includes: a pair of first crimp pieces; and a pair of second crimp pieces. Into the pair of first crimp pieces, an insulating inner sheath and at least a part of a braided wire, which are exposed from an insulating outer sheath, are inserted. The pair of second crimp pieces are located on outsides of the pair of first crimp pieces, and are crimped so as to surround the pair of first crimp pieces. A coaxial cable with a terminal is formed by attaching the terminal to an end of the coaxial cable. A braided conductor at the end of the coaxial cableis folded and covers the insulating sheath. A sleeve covers the braided conductor covering the insulating sheath. All around the sleeve is pressed equally. The terminal is attached to the sleeve.

A shielded cable connecting structure for connecting a shielded cable, the shielded cable including an electric wire portion which has a conductor and an inner sheath covering the conductor, a braided wire braided around the inner sheath, and an outer sheath covering the braided wire, the shielded cable connecting structure includes a connecting member. A shielded cable connecting structure for connecting a shielded cable to an electric wire having a conductor, the shielded cable including an electric wire portion which has a conductor and an inner sheath covering the conductor, a braided wire braided around the inner sheath, and an outer sheath covering the braided wire, the shielded cable connecting structure includes a connecting member. The connecting member includes a connecting main body, a first press-clamping portion which holds the shielded cable, a second press-clamping portion which holds the electric wire, a first press-contacting portion which is electrically connected to the braided wire of the shielded cable in a state that the shielded cable is pressed to be inserted into the first press-contacting portion, and a second press-contacting portion which is electrically connected to the conductor of the electric wire in a state that the electric wire is pressed to be inserted into the second press-contacting portion in the same direction as a direction of insertion of the shielded cable into the first press-contacting portion. The braided wire of the shielded cable is connected to the electric wire through the first press-contacting portion and the second press-contacting portion.

In a structure for grounding a shielded cable, a braided wire is extended radially outwardly of core covering portions to form a flange portion, and an associated wire is connected to the flange portion by the use of sleeve members, thereby effecting the grounding.
