A rust preventive oil composition containing a first mineral oil that is a mineral oil having a kinematic viscosity at 40&#xb0; C. of 6 mm/s or less, a second mineral oil that is a mineral oil having a kinematic viscosity at 40&#xb0; C. of 250 mm/s or more, a fatty acid amine salt, an ester, and one or more rust preventive agents selected from the group consisting of a sarcosine-type compound, a nonionic surfactant, a sulfonic acid salt, an amine, a carboxylic acid, a fatty acid amine salt, a carboxylic acid salt, a paraffin wax, an oxidized wax salt, and a boron compound.

Rust preventive oil composition

A rust preventive oil composition comprising a nonionic surfactant with a hydrophilic-lipophilic index of 10-12 at 0.1-10% by mass based on the total amount of the composition, and at least one rust-preventing additive selected from among sarcosine compounds, sulfonic acid salts, esters, amines, carboxylic acids, fatty acid amine salts, carboxylic acid salts, paraffin waxes, oxidized wax salts, alkyl or alkenylsuccinic acid derivatives and boron compounds, the composition having a 40&#xb0; C. kinematic viscosity of 1-50 mm/s.

Rust-preventive oil composition

A rust preventive oil composition is provided, which includes: (A) a base oil that is at least one oil selected from a mineral oil and a synthetic oil; (B) 0.1 to 10% by mass of water based on a total mass of the composition; and (C) one or more specific rust preventive additives selected from the group consisting of a sarcosine-type compound, a nonionic surfactant, a sulfonate salt, an ester, an amine, a carboxylic acid, a fatty acid amine salt, a carboxylate salt, paraffin wax, a salt of oxidized wax, and a boron compound, wherein the rust preventive oil composition has a kinetic viscosity of 20 to 100 mm/s at 40&#xb0; C. The rust preventive oil composition can suppress rust development over a long period of time even when there remains a rust-causing agent, which adheres to the metal parts assembled by bare hands, such as steel sheets, bearings, steel balls, and guide rails.

A rust preventive oil composition includes at least one base oil selected from the group consisting of mineral oils and synthetic oils, having a 5%-distillation temperature of not less than 140&#xb0; C. and not more than 250&#xb0; C., a 95%-distillation temperature of 250&#xb0; C. or less, a difference between the 5%-distillation temperature and the 95%-distillation temperature of 90&#xb0; C. or less, an aromatic content of 5% by volume or less, a naphthene content of not less than 30% by volume and not more than 95% by volume, a density at 15&#xb0; C. of 0.75 g/cmor more, and a kinematic viscosity at 40&#xb0; C. of not less than 0.3 mm/s and not more than 5.0 mm/s; at least one base oil selected from the group consisting of mineral oils and synthetic oils; and a rust-preventing additive.
