A casing includes a first plate made of a metal, a support made of a resin, and a second plate fixed to the support. The first plate includes a flat plate portion, a through hole passing through the flat plate portion, and a claw portion extending upward from an edge of the through hole. A portion of the support is located in the through hole. The support covers a portion of the claw portion such that the support is prevented from turning and from coming off in an upward direction. The claw portion is defined by a portion of the first plate extending along a longest line segment inside the through hole in a plan view being bent upward from the flat plate portion. This enables the claw portion to have a great length even in a small area of the first plate to securely fix the support to the first plate.

Casing and blower

A motor includes a metal base plate and a resin holder extending upward from the base plate. The base plate includes a flat plate portion, a through hole passing through the flat plate portion, and a plurality of claw portions extending upward from an edge of the flat plate portion which includes the through hole. A portion of the holder is in the through hole. The holder covers a portion of each claw portion. The holder is thus engaged with each claw portion to prevent the holder from turning around a rotation axis and from coming off in an upward direction. The holder includes a gate mark near a lower surface of the flat plate portion and at a circumferential position between adjacent ones of the claw portions to make it easier for the resin to fill a cavity inside molds during a molding process.

Motor and blower

A rotor yoke includes a substantially flat or annular flat cover portion coaxial or substantially coaxial with a rotational axis and a substantially cylindrical side wall portion extending from an outer circumference of the cover portion in a parallel or substantially parallel relationship with the rotational axis. The rotor yoke further includes a substantially annular flange portion extending radially outwards from an open end of the side wall portion. The cover portion and the side wall portion define a cup portion whose center of gravity deviates from the rotational axis in a plane perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the rotational axis, and the flange portion has an outer circumferential circle whose center deviates from the rotational axis in a direction opposite to the deviation direction of the center of gravity of the cup portion.
