An ejecting mechanism capable of preventing an accidental touch is disposed in a housing having a tray and used for ejecting the tray out of the housing. The ejecting mechanism includes a tray ejecting button and a front cover. The front cover is disposed at the housing and located at the ejecting direction of the tray. The front cover has a sliding key including a pressing body and a triggering body connected to one end of the pressing body. When the pressing body drives the triggering body to slide until the triggering body aligns to the tray ejecting button, the pressing body is capable of being forced to drive one end of the triggering body to trigger the tray ejecting button to eject the tray.

Ejecting mechanism capable of preventing accidental touch and disk drive using the same

An electronic device has a cavity in which a stylus can be slidably inserted. The stylus has a retaining slot thereon. Being inserted in the cavity, the stylus firstly pushes a retainer to be moved resiliently. The stylus further presses on a stylus-releasing device that terminates the cavity, thereby engaging the stylus-releasing device in a stable configuration with a resilient force. Meanwhile the retainer inserts into the retaining slot of the stylus to hold and immobilize the stylus in the cavity. To extract the stylus, a short pressing action is exerted on the stylus, which disengages the stylus-releasing device from the stable configuration, thereby the stylus-releasing device exerts a resilient force on the stylus that is ejected partially out of the cavity to facilitate a grasp of the stylus.

Stylus retaining and releasing mechanism for stylus-receiving housing

A keystroke structure () for an electronic device which includes a shell () defining an opening (). The keystroke structure comprises a cap () made of hard plastics such as ABS resin, a flange () fixed to a bottom of a periphery of the cap, wherein the flange is made of a material, such as rubber which is more elastic than that for forming the cap. The cap has a portion extending upward through the opening. A rod () extends downwardly from a bottom of the cap. A switch assembly () consisting of four first switches () for cursor direction control and a second switch () for 'enter' control. The first switches are activated by the rod when the cap is titled, and the second switch is activated by the rod when the cap is vertically depressed. When the cap is titled to activate one of the first switches, the flange engage with a bottom face of the shell. Since the flange is made of resilient material, the engagement thereof with the shell will not cause the second switch to be also activated when the cap is titled to activate one of the first switches. Such a design is particularly advantageous when the electronic device has a reduced thickness.

Keystroke structure for electronic devices

A mechanism for ejecting stylus includes the locking apparatus and the ejecting apparatus. When the stylus is put in the slide groove, the movable arm of the locking apparatus exactly hooks the rabbet of the stylus resulting in the retention of stylus. The ejecting apparatus is used for ejecting the stylus along the slide groove. The locking apparatus and the ejecting apparatus are set separately at the end of the slide groove, and the distance between two apparatus is exactly equal to the length of the stylus.
