A contact tracking method and a related server are provided. In the method, the positioning information of multiple user equipments (UEs) is obtained. The UEs transmit wireless signals. The positioning information is determined based on the wireless signal. The wireless signal indicates a network provider identifier, a signal strength, or geolocation. The travel routes of the UEs are determined. Each travel route records the positioning information of one UE over time. The travel routes are analyzed to determine a contact situation between a first UE and a second UE of the UEs based on a contact criteria.

Contact tracking method and related server

A server, a communication system, and a positioning method based on mobile network thereof are provided. In the method, a first measurement report and a second measurement report are received. The first measurement report is related to a first network performance measurement of a user equipment (UE) with a mobile network and includes first location information of the UE, and the second measurement report is related to a second network performance measurement of the UE with the mobile network. The Second location information of the UE is determined according to a monitoring result obtained from the second measurement report. The monitoring result is related to the signal transmission condition of the UE in the mobile network. The second location information is calibrated according to the first location information. Accordingly, the accuracy of the location of the UE may be improved.

A method, a recording medium and an electronic device of 3D geolocation are provided. The method includes the following steps: distributing a plurality of samples that are already 2D-geolocated into a plurality of geographic areas according to 2D locations of the samples, wherein each sample includes a measurement report provided by a user equipment attached to a mobile network; generating a relative sequence of altitudes of the samples in each geographic area according to altitude-related data obtained from the samples in the geographic area; and determining the altitudes of the samples in each geographic area according to the relative sequence of the geographic area.

The indoor/outdoor call judgment method comprises the following steps. Firstly, to build an algorithm and indicator function for determining indoor/outdoor call by analyzing drive test data. Secondly, to retrieve the event log data to be judged by the method, and find the position of the retrieved event log data by means of geo-location tools. Thirdly, to determine whether the retrieved event log data are referring to a moving call, if 'YES', then the event log is determined to be referring to an outdoor call. Fourthly, to determine whether or not the event log data are referring to an Indoor call by using the pre-built algorithm and the indicator function. A method and system for detecting a roaming location of a mobile network is provided to detect the roaming location in a systematic and efficient way. The method first collects roaming call detail records (CDRs) of a subscriber of the mobile network which are generated when the subscriber roams to a roaming network and makes or receives corresponding roaming calls, and then finds at least one roaming CDR whose corresponding roaming call is occurred in a cell of the roaming network covering a registered address of the subscriber. A system and method for identifying a mobile user cluster by call detail records (CDRs) is provided. The system and method identifies at least one mobile user cluster according to a plurality of CDRs generated by a plurality of mobile users during a first period and a second period of time. Each mobile user of the identified cluster generates at least one CDR at a same geographical location during the first period of time, and a mobile user sequence is formed between any two mobile users of the identified cluster. At least one CDR is generated between any two neighboring mobile users of the mobile user sequence during the second period of time. Examples for the mobile user cluster include cohabiting family members, familiar neighborhood, colleagues, schoolmates, etc.

A system and method for performing a network planning and mobility management optimization is provided, and it includes a graphical user interface (GUI) front-end for allowing users to operate required procedures for network planning and mobility management optimization. According to this invention, the network plan takes a network topology (NT) and its associated network statistic data as input. Accordingly, a network plan can represent an arrangement of network elements which display a superior-subordinate relationship between network elements in the mobile communication network. Moreover, the network plan comprises a plurality of statistic data reflecting a plurality of user mobility behaviors and a plurality of traffic behaviors of network elements in the mobile communication network. Moreover, network elements, links and their related statistics data can be presented on the GUI window, and then users can analyze traffic conditions and the planning result to determine an optimal plan which meets the optimization level required.

A method for detecting and reducing ping-pong handover effect of a cellular network is disclosed. The method provides a systematic way to determine which cell pairs of the network have high probability of suffering from the ping-pong handover effect. The method comprises collecting network traffic statistic data of multiple items, wherein each of the items corresponds to a state change of multiple mobile units within cells of the network; determining whether a plurality of criteria are met according to the network traffic statistic data; and detecting the ping-pong effect between the cells according to the result of the determining step. The method also comprises changing a handover parameter for the cells with the ping-pong handover effect.
