The present disclosure relates to a hearing device comprising a first radar sensor configured for obtaining first radar data indicative of a shape of a first pinna of the first ear of a user. A processing unit of the hearing device is configured to receive the first radar data from the first radar sensor, and determine, based on the first radar data, a shape of the first pinna.

A hearing device for placement in a user's ear includes: at least one input transducer, an output transducer, a wireless communication unit and an antenna arrangement adapted for providing a wireless link, and a reference axis, the reference axis being parallel to the user's ear-to-ear axis, when the hearing device is placed in an operable position, wherein in that the antenna arrangement comprises a first antenna configured for transmitting/receiving EM-radiation at a first frequency, the first antenna comprising a first electrically conducting segment extending in a first direction, a second antenna configured for transmitting/receiving EM-radiation at the first frequency, the second antenna comprising a second electrically conducting segment extending in a second direction, the second direction being different from the first direction, a first feed coupling the first antenna to the wireless communication unit, and a second feed coupling the second antenna to the wireless communication unit.

Hearing device with beam-steerable antenna arrangement

The present disclosure relates in a first aspect to a head-wearable hearing instrument comprising first and second portions and a radio-frequency data communication interface configured to transmit and receive data packets at transmit and receipt time slots, respectively, through a wireless communication channel. The head-wearable hearing instrument comprises a connector assembly configured to electrically and mechanically interconnect the first portion with the second portion. The second portion comprises a sensor configured to measure a physical property and generate sensor data representative of the measured physical property. The head-wearable hearing instrument further comprises a wired data communication link extending between the first and second portions through the connector assembly for transmission of sensor data during transmit time slots. Said transmit time slots of the sensor data and at least said receipt time slots of the wireless communication channel are non-overlapping in time.

A hearing device includes a signal processor, the signal processor being configured for determining a hearing device mode of operation, the hearing device mode comprising a first mode and a second mode. The hearing device further comprises a first wireless communication unit and a second wireless communication unit, and an electrical antenna for emission and reception of electromagnetic radiation. The antenna is configured to resonate at a first frequency. The hearing device further comprises an active matching device configured to interconnect the first and the second wireless communication unit with the antenna, wherein the active matching device in the first mode is configured to enable the antenna to emit and receive electromagnetic radiation at the first frequency and wherein the active matching device in the second mode is configured to adjust antenna characteristics of the antenna to enable the antenna to emit and receive electromagnetic radiation at the second frequency.

In accordance with the present disclosure a hearing instrument is provided. The hearing instrument comprises a wireless communication unit for wireless communication, a speaker interconnected with the wireless communication unit and being configured to provide an output audio signal, a battery configured to supply power to the hearing instrument, a filter circuit interconnecting the battery and a power management circuit of the hearing instrument, the wireless communication unit being interconnected with the battery, the battery being configured for emission and reception of an electromagnetic field having an RF wavelength. The filter circuit is configured to de-couple the battery and the power management circuit at frequencies above 3 MHz and configured to connect the battery to the power management circuit at frequencies below 300 kHz.

A hearing instrument comprises a wireless communication unit interconnected with an antenna for emission and reception of an electromagnetic field having an RF wavelength, a speaker interconnected with the wireless communication unit and being configured to provide an output audio signal. A battery is configured to supply power to the hearing instrument and a filter circuit interconnects the battery and a power management circuit of the hearing instrument. The antenna extends from a feed and at least a part of the antenna being is arranged adjacent the battery. A distance between the at least part of the antenna and the battery is below 1/40 of the wavelength. The filter circuit is configured to de-couple the battery and the power management circuit at frequencies above 3 MHz and configured to connect the battery to the power management circuit at frequencies below 300 kHz.

Disclosed is a hearing device comprising: a microphone configured to receive sound; a processing unit configured to provide a processed audio signal for compensating for a hearing loss of a user; a wireless communication unit configured for wireless communication; a supporting structure; wherein the supporting structure comprises: an electrically conductive ground layer, an electrically non-conductive opening; a connecting line extending from the wireless communication unit provided at a first side of the opening across or along the opening to a second side of the opening and being interconnected with the electrically conductive ground layer at the second side of the opening; wherein the electrically conductive ground layer is configured to be excited by the connecting line, whereby the electrically conductive ground layer is configured to act as antenna for the wireless communication unit for emission and/or reception of an electromagnetic field.
