The present invention relates to a fuel tank arrangement of a marine vessel including a fuel tank for Liquefied Natural Gas, the fuel tank having a shell, a heat insulation in connection therewith, connections for a pipeline for bunkering LNG to the fuel tank, a pipeline for taking boil-off gas from the fuel tank and a pipeline for taking LNG from the fuel tank, and a deep well pump for pumping LNG from the tank to the pipeline, wherein at least one recess is extending inwardly from the shell and being arranged on top of the fuel tank, the deep well pump being installed in the at least one recess.

Fuel tank arrangement of a marine vessel

An LNG tank as disclosed can include an inner shell of stainless steel and an outer shell spaced at a distance from the inner shell, the inner and outer shells defining an isolation space therebetween. A double-walled pipe of stainless steel connected to the LNG tank can include an inner pipe. The outer wall of the pipe can be connected to the inner shell by a bellows-like pipe fitting welded to the outer wall of the pipe(s) and to the inner shell of the tank. The inner pipe for extending into a tank room can be connected to a valve in a valve block, and the outer wall of the pipe extending into the tank room can be welded to the valve block to provide a continuous secondary barrier for the inner pipe between the inner shell of the tank and the valve block.

LNG tank

A connection having at least one double-walled pipe of stainless steel connected to an LNG tank is disclosed, the LNG tank having an inner shell of stainless steel and an outer shell spaced at a distance from the inner shell, the inner and outer shells defining an isolation space therebetween. The at least one double-walled pipe includes a common outer wall and at least one inner pipe. The outer wall of the pipe is connected to the inner shell of the tank in such a way that the outer wall and/or a pipe fitting of cold resistant material between the inner shell and the outer wall is arranged to compensate for changes in the length of the outer wall of the pipe and/or of the pipe fitting due to temperature differences between the outer wall of the pipe and the inner shell of the tank.

Arrangement for connecting a pipe to a LNG tank

A gas engine plant that includes a combustion engine adapted to combust gaseous fuel receives fuel containing hydrocarbons, reforms the fuel by cracking the heavier hydrocarbons in the fuel while minimizing cracking of methane, and feeds the reformed fuel in gaseous form to the combustion engine.

A gas supply arrangement of a marine vessel being adapted to carry liquefied gas in its cargo tank having an ullage space section and a liquid phase section, which arrangement utilizes the gas as fuel to provide power for the vessel, the arrangement comprising a first gas supply line provided for processing the natural boil-off gas formed in the cargo tank, a second gas supply line which connects the cargo tank and the gas main supply line and which is provided with at least a pump for raising the pressure of the liquid gas and for pumping it forward. The second gas supply line is provided with a gas reservoir having an ullage space section and liquid phase section, and that the arrangement is provided with a first duct section of the second gas supply line connecting the liquid phase section of the cargo tank and the liquid phase section of the gas reservoir, and being provided with the pump, and that the arrangement is additionally provided with a return line connecting the liquid phase section of the reservoir and the cargo tank being provided with a control valve for controllable returning liquid gas back into the cargo tank.
