The invention relates to an electrically insulating composite material () comprising a polyepoxide matrix () of cycloaliphatic type or of diglycidyl ether type in a content of less than 40% by mass, from 20 to 75% by mass of one or several micrometric and/or mesometric filler(s) (), and from 0.1 to 20% by mass of at least one ionic liquid (), the masses being expressed relative to the total mass of the electrically insulating composite material (). The invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such an electrically insulating composite material (), as well as its use for an electrically insulating support () in a metal-enclosed substation ().

Electrical insulation material and manufacturing process

The disclosure provides a process for treatment of an article () made of a polymer composition; comprising the steps of providing an article () with a surface, the article being made of a polymer composition comprising one or more polyolefins; providing one or more texturing solvents () selected from one or more vegetable oils, one or more terpenes, one or more alkanes and any combination thereof; wherein the one or more texturing solvents () are further selected to have a boiling point which is above the crystallisation temperature Tc of the one or more polyolefins and to be devoid of a halogenated atom and/or an aromatic group; contacting the surface of the article () with the one or more texturing solvents (); and recovering an article with a textured surface with water contact angle following ISO 19403-6:2017 that is increased by comparison to the initial water contact angle.

Process for increasing hydrophobicity of articles made of polyolefins

The present invention relates to the technical field of composite materials comprising a thermosetting polymer matrix in which thermoplastic polymer and/or elastomer particles are dispersed. More precisely, the invention relates to a novel type of polymeric material obtained by using a particular ionic liquid as cross-linking agent for an epoxy resin mixed with a thermoplastic polymer and/or an elastomer. The invention also relates to a process for manufacturing said composite material and uses thereof, notably in the aeronautical, aerospace, automotive, maritime, wind power, electronics, or sports and leisure sectors.
