A composite battery cell includes a plurality of electricity supply elements connected to each other in series/parallel to form the electricity supply element groups. The electricity supply element groups are connected to each other in parallel/series and packed to form the battery cell with high capacity and high voltage. Each electricity supply element is an in-dependent module and the electrolyte system does not circulate therebetween. There only have charges transferred rather than electrochemical reactions between the adjacent electricity supply elements. Therefore, the electrolyte decomposition would not occur result from the high voltage caused by connecting in series. Both series and parallel connection are made within the package of the battery cell to achieve high capacity and high voltage.

Composite battery cell

A film peeling method is disclosed to peel off a film covered on the surface of an object. The method includes the steps of: setting a fulcrum located at outer side of the object; setting a lift-off position on the film; and picking up the film from the lift-off position with the fulcrum as the axis, and applying a circular traction force with a variable radius on the film for peeling off the film from the object. The film peeling method can peel off the film covered on the surface of the object by different peeling stages, to reduce the peeling path and reduce the force required for peeling the film, thereby reducing the peeling time and improving the peeling efficiency.

Method and device for peeling off a film covered on an object

The invention provides a soft pack battery module and its electricity supply thereof. The battery units, which are independent and complete modules, are utilized to be contacted to each other to form the battery cell with the serial connection, the parallel connection or both. There only have charges transferred rather than electrochemical reactions occurred between the battery units. Also, the metallized plastic film package is utilized to pack the battery cell. The inner electrically-conductive area of the metallized plastic film package is directly contacted to the electric power outputs of the battery cell to form electrical connections. Therefore, the problems caused by the need for additional wires can be avoided and the surface area the current path of the battery cell can be maximized.

Soft pack battery module and its electricity supply thereof

The invention discloses a lithium battery structure and the electrode layer thereof. The lithium battery structure includes two battery units with the two negative active material layers being disposed in face-to-face arrangement. The negative current collector includes a conductive substrate with a plurality of through holes and an isolation layer. The isolation layer is covered on one surface of the conductive substrate and extended along the through holes to another surface to cover the edge of the openings of the through holes. It can be effectively avoided the lithium dendrites depositing near the openings of the through holes on the conductive substrate. Also, the face-to-face arrangement of the negative active material layers is effectively control the locations of the plated lithium dendrites. Therefore, the safety of the battery and the cycle life of the battery is greatly improved.

Lithium battery structure and electrode layer thereof

The invention discloses an active material ball composite layer. The active material ball composite layer includes a plurality of active material balls and an outer binder. The active material ball include a plurality of active material particles and a first conductive material. An inner binder is used to adhere the active material particles and the first conductive material to form the active material balls. Then, the outer binder is used to adhere the active material balls to form the composite layer. The elasticity of the inner binder is smaller than the elasticity of the outer binder. Therefore, the scale of expansion of the active material particles is efficiently controlled during charging and discharging. The unrecoverable voids would be reduced or avoided.

Active material ball composite layer

The invention discloses an active material ball electrode layer structure, which mainly includes the active material balls made of the active material particles, a first mixed electrolyte located inside the active material balls, and a second mixed electrolyte located outside the active material balls. The first mixed electrolyte is mainly made of the deformable electrolyte. The second mixed electrolyte is mainly made of the electrolyte with relatively lesser deformation than the deformable electrolyte of the first mixed electrolyte. The invention utilizes the first mixed electrolyte to effectively active material ball reduce the derived problems of the volume change of the active materials. Moreover, the different configuration of the first mixed electrolyte and the second mixed electrolyte inside and outside the active material balls is utilized to reduce the charge transfer resistance. Also, the expansion resistance is provided for the active material balls.

Active material ball electrode layer structure

A flexible battery is disclosed in the present invention. One of a first active material layer, an intermediate layer, a second active material layer, a first interface located between the first active material layer and the intermediate layer, and a second interface located between the second active material layer and the intermediate layer includes a first adhesive. The first adhesive includes at least one first linear polymer and at least one first crystallization inhibitor. Therefore, the active material layers, the intermediate layer or the interfaces have sufficient adhesion and flexibility. The electrochemical reaction element would not easy to be cracked or separated after bending, and the ionic and electrical conductivities of the battery is greatly improved.

Flexible battery

A thermal runaway suppression element, adapted for a lithium battery having an electrochemical reaction system. The thermal runaway suppression element includes: a passivation composition supplier, having a metal ion and an aluminum etching ion; and a polar solution supplier, configured to release a polar solvent to carry the metal ion and the aluminum etching ion to an aluminum current collector of the lithium battery. The aluminum current collector is configured to be etched by the aluminum etching ion to provide an aluminum ion. The metal ion and the aluminum ion are carried by the polar solvent to the electrochemical reaction system to terminate an electrochemical reaction.

Thermal runaway suppression element and the related applications

The invention provides a method for suppressing thermal runaway of lithium batteries, which is included a step of providing a lithium battery capable of performing charging and discharging, which includes an electrochemical reaction system. When the temperature of the lithium battery reaches to a predetermined temperature, a metal ion (A) and an amphoteric metal ion (B) are applied to the positive active material layer and the negative active material layer of the lithium battery to passivate the positive active material layer and the negative active material layer. The metal ion (A) is selected from a non-lithium alkali metal ion, an alkaline earth metal ion or a combination thereof to prevent the thermal runaway from occurring.

Method for suppressing thermal runaway of lithium batteries

The invention provides a battery module with cooling cartridge and battery system thereof. The cooling cartridge is utilized to be disposed between the battery units stacked in a single axis. The supporting portion of the cooling cartridge is directly contacted in a large area to the current collecting sheet of the battery unit. And the wing portions, extended from the two sides of the supporting portion, are directly contacted to the inner sidewalls of the metal housing. Therefore, a large-area heat dissipating path for the battery cell is provided, and the performance and stability of the battery cell are greatly improved.

Battery module with cooling cartridge and battery system thereof

The invention discloses a lithium electrode. The electrically conductive structure layer has a recess with one-side opening, and the lithium metal layer is disposed on the bottom of the recess. The solid electrolyte layer and the electrolyte storage layer are disposed thereon sequentially. When the lithium metal is plated, the plated lithium metal is restricted by the solid electrolyte layer to push and compress the electrolyte storage layer. Therefore, the growth of the lithium dendrites is limited efficiently. The penetration through issue of the lithium dendrites will not be occurred so that the safety of the lithium metal battery is improved greatly.

Lithium electrode

The present application provides a package structure for a chemical system, which comprises an inner glue frame and a first outer glue frame. The inner glue frame forms an accommodating space for accommodating a chemical system. The first outer glue frame is further disposed outside the inner glue frame and used for isolating the ambient environment and thus avoiding the influence of the ambient environment on the chemical system. A second outer glue frame is further disposed for avoiding damages such as side bumps and falls of the chemical system or contact with foreign metals. Thereby, the performance of the chemical system can be maintained.
