A modular high density communications chassis including a chassis, pull-out cable management system (POCMS), and at least two or more slidable carrier modules (carrier module(s)) is provided. The carrier modules are slidably mounted to the chassis and POCMS vertically, respectively. The POCMS is assembled to the chassis. In an operational position, ends of the carrier modules of the chassis extend outward from an access mounting opening of the chassis and ends of the carrier modules of the POCMS, alternately neighboring, lie flush with a plane of the access mounting opening. A handle of the POCMS is configured to move the POCMS from the operational position to a cable management position, whereby, the ends of the carrier modules of the POCMS extend past the ends of the carrier modules of the chassis, providing staged access to the carrier modules and staged management of connector cables extending to and therefrom.

Modular high density communications chassis

A duplex fiber optic adapter, comprising a housing having an integrated polarity reversal portion and a receiving portion is provided. The integrated polarity reversal portion comprises a first fiber optic connector assembly, including a first optic fiber assembly having a first coupling ferrule, a first connecting ferrule, and a first optic fiber therebetween, and a second fiber optic connector assembly, including a second optic fiber assembly having a second coupling ferrule, a second connecting ferrule, and a second optic fiber therebetween. The receiving portion comprises first and second ports, configured to receive a pair of ferrules of a fiber optic connector and through opposing ends, the first port is configured to receive the second connecting ferrule and the second port is configured to receive the first connecting ferrule. Following engagement, polarity reversal optical connection is established between the fiber optic connector and a mating fiber optic connector via the adapter.

Duplex fiber optic adapter

A modular high density communications chassis, comprising a chassis and slidable carrier module is provided. The chassis comprises a second track having a first and second stage access fixing recess and a sectional sliding mechanism having a moveable squeeze-release latching rail mechanism. The slidable carrier module comprises a push-pull tab and a snap-fit mechanism, and is slidably mounted to the second track and squeeze-release latching rail mechanism. The slidable carrier module is slidably mounted to the chassis vertically. The snap-fit mechanism is configured to secure and release the slidable carrier module in and from a first stage position when corresponding to the first stage access fixing recess, and in and from a second stage position when corresponding to the second stage access fixing recess, via pulling and pushing of the at least a push-pull tab, respectively, providing staged access to the slidable carrier module and staged management of the connector cables extending to and therefrom.

A duplex fiber optic adapter, comprising a pair of fiber optic connector assemblies, a housing and a pair of ports positioned within the housing is provided. The housing has a pair of opening structures on one end, configured for fixed attachment of the pair of fiber optic connector assemblies, and a pair of polarity reversal connector openings on an opposing end, configured to receive a pair of ferrules of a fiber optic connector. When a fiber optic connector is inserted into the adapter and the adapter is coupled to a mating fiber optic connector, the pair of ferrules is engaged in the pair of ports of the housing and coupling ferrules of each pair of fiber optic connector assemblies is engaged in a pair of ports of the mating fiber optic connector, establishing a polarity reversal connection between the fiber optic connector and mating fiber optic connector via the adapter.

A high-density fiber optic connector configured to operate with a first optical fiber cable, a second optical fiber cable, and a dual fiber optic cable adapter, is provided. The high-density fiber optic connector comprises a two-piece connector housing configured to open and close and form first and second housing through ports, first and second sub-assembly housings, and a push-pull tab. When the two-piece connector housing is opened, the first and second sub-assembly housings can be manually interchanged, such that the first sub-assembly housing is engaged and fixed in the second housing through port and a front end thereof is coupled to a second receiving port of the dual fiber optic cable adapter and the second sub-assembly housing is engaged and fixed in the first housing through port and a front end thereof is coupled to a first receiving port of the dual fiber optic cable adapter.
