An audio accessory system that includes a holder to hold an audio accessory in two positions is provided. The holder comprises a first retention platform having a cable coupled thereto, a second retention platform and a back retention wall extending between the first and second retention platforms. The first and second retention platforms and the back retention wall form a clip for retaining the audio accessory. The holder further comprises an electrical interface, at the back retention wall, for coupling the cable to a corresponding electrical interface of the audio accessory. The clip is interchangeably mountable in first and second positions relative to the audio accessory, such that: in the first and second positions, respectively, the clip mounts to the audio accessory with the cable extending from a bottom or a top of the audio accessory.

The device includes a three-dimensional (3D) retainer having a canopy shape with an outer side and an inner side, the outer side having a generally convex shape and the inner side having a generally concave shape, the 3D retainer comprising apertures therethrough. The device further includes a hydrophobic mesh located at least at the apertures at the outer side of the 3D retainer, the hydrophobic mesh being air-permeable.

A device with a keypad that includes a bezel assembled with a flexible substrate is provided. The bezel comprises: a first aperture and a second aperture separated by a retention plate. The flexible substrate comprises two or more arms joined at joining ends, and separated at distal ends, distal from the joining ends; at least one arm, of the two or more arms, comprises: a first button portion and a second button portion configured to respectively mate with the first aperture and the second aperture from a rear-side of the bezel, the first button portion and the second button portion separated by a non-button portion. The flexible substrate may be assembled with the bezel to form the keypad by inserting a distal end of the one or more arms through the first aperture from the rear-side of the bezel.

A unitary metal clip () is formed of a pocket mounting side (), a device mounting side () and a top end pocket flange () therebetween. The clip further comprises first and second side flanges () extending from the pocket mounting side () toward the top end pocket flange (). The top end pocket flange () provides alignment, while first and second side flanges () provide slide-in, engagement, and grip features for clip (). A recessed retention feature () is also provided within the pocket mounting side () to provide a compression feature of clip. A device mounting platform () is located on the device mounting side () extending from the top end pocket flange () of clip () for mounting to a device, such as a holster or directly to a communication device. Clip () provides stable, non-rotational positioning and retention for body worn portable communication device applications.

A mounting apparatus for a portable communication device is provided. The mounting apparatus is mountable and secured onto a wearable garment or other external substrate using both magnetic engagement and tethers. The mounting apparatus minimizes shaking of the portable communication device and/or the possibility of the portable communication device getting knocked off the external substrate.
