Engine cooling control device

A cooling system is incorporated into an engine cooling circuit including a pump for circulating a coolant of an engine and a radiator for cooling the coolant of the engine. The cooling system includes a first passage portion provided between the engine and a coolant outlet of the pump; a second passage portion provided between the engine and an coolant inlet of the pump, a rotary valve disc interposed in the passage portions and being rotatable so as to simultaneously control the coolant flowing through the first passage portion and the coolant flowing through the second passage portion.

A vehicle control systemincludes a water pumpwith an electromagnetic clutch, an oil relief device, an OCV, a water temperature sensor, and an ECU. The ECUcauses the electromagnetic clutch of the water pumpto be disengaged on the basis of the detection result detected by the water temperature sensor, and stops the coolant circulation. The ECUinstructs the OCVto adjust the lubricant pressure to low by an oil relief device. The ECUdetermines whether or not the adjustment of the lubricant pressure to low by the oil relief deviceis stopped on the basis of the detection result detected by the water temperature sensorwhen the engagement of the electromagnetic clutch of the water pumpcontinues for a given period.
